Very surprised to find that the light sensor is on the side instead of on the front. For us, that is a slight problem because where we have fitted it on the side there are trees. Otherwise, works well.

Great bright light, it lights up the area and only 30w of electricity. Seller excellent, sorted out a small problem without hassle.

Easy to install lightweight powerful led light

I bought this as an outside light to go by my back door. Its a bungalow and the unit is mounted around 1 inch below the roof overhang. Because the overhang is white PVC, when the light comes on the reflection from the white pvc triggers the sensor so the unit goes off, then back on and off again continually. The photocell/sensor is on the right hand side of the unit. It does say in the instructions to 'avoid nuisance triggering, the photocell should be aimed away from heat sources, such as BBQ's, Air conditioning, other outside lighting, moving cars and flue vents or reflective surfaces such as smooth white walls or swimming pools'. I was not about to remove it and its a fairly simple job to either bypass the sensor internally (or stick some tape over the sensor aperture on the outside of the unit) and then it just becomes an on/off light with the switch in the house. I replaced the switch in the house with a timer switch to set my own dusk to dawn timing. Its a great unit, quite large and gives off plenty of light but had I known about the mounting requirements before purchasing, I would have bought the cheaper version without the dusk/dawn feature.

Only buy this if you have a big area to light up, it's very bright.
