Heats up the oil like a champ.
It was a piece of cake to install and actually works great. I put it on a 6 cylinder 3.0L E90 BMW. Also, I connected it to an Alexa plug, so I can tell Alexa to warm up the car an hour or two before I need to go in the winter. It seems to have solved my problem of the cams ticking from frequent short trips never getting the engine up to temp. Now it gets up to operating temperature right away. The gas mileage went up +5 mpg for short trips, the cam tick is gone and the heater gets hot way faster.

Works very good, sticks well, smells not so well
Other than the strong odor it gives off the first day or so it's turned on after attaching it, I have nothing bad to say about this product. I used two of them on my air compressor block because the oil gets too thick in my shop in the winter with the cold temps. Worked as good as I could have hoped and frankly for the price it's a home run. Would recommend would buy again.

The Real Deal if you want to drive your Sports Car in the Winter
I have a BMW 135i N55 with a twin scroll turbo. Starting it up in the cold under 28F isn't great. The first 60 seconds of startup for a car is the most damaging because the oil has to rush to protect sensitive components higher up away from the oil pan.Mine sounds like it wants to throw the turbo into the house and ping off into the attic. That's the issue when we're talking about colder temperatures under 40F degrees for gasoline cars. Especially performance vehicles. Here is what I did:1) I purchased one of these and took some OxiClean total interior wipes to the oil pan. You may need something tougher like brake cleaner if it is bad.2) Applied Permatex 81160 High-Temp Red Silicon to the oil pan.3) Applied more red silicon to the wiring area where it goes into the heating pad to better protect it from moisture.4) Stuck it to the oil pan and added yet more red silicon along its edges.5) Let it sit in the garage over night with a space heater fanning the front of the car in the garage which got to about 50F.Next day I left it outside in the driveway after my morning commute and had to drive that evening with a temp. of 18F outside. Plugged the pad in for 20min. Car started smoothly just as if it was 70F outside. I was amazed and cannot recommend this product for anyone into cars or just desire that solid extra assurance.

Working Great
These are a great bang for your buck item. I am not using them for their intended purpose, while I am using them to heat an oil tank, it is a knife quenching oil tank. They heat up quicky, and I made SURE the metal was clean so they seem to have adhered nicely. As far as I’m concerned, these were a GREAT purchase!

Cord didn’t hold up to -40 weather
I have this mounted on the hydraulics of my snow plow. I went out in -35 temps roughed up the metal with sandpaper, plugged it in and held it in place. It warmed up quickly and stuck well. However, 4 days later the cord split next to the plug exposing the copper wire. I always handled the cord carefully. I have 2 block heaters and a battery maintainer plugged in out in that temp without any problems. Not sure how to go about returning this since it’s stuck in place. I left 2 messages with the company and they haven’t called back. I’ll run a return with Amazon and mail the cord back

May not have the heat for your car engine
This is the largest size of these adhesive heaters that will fit on any part of the Honda 3.5L V6 in my Saturn Vue. It is, however, not really powerful enough to keep the engine warm. But it does keep it _warmer_.

Good quality heating pad for oil pan
Got this to keep my oil pan warm in the winter for a 2016 Subaru Impreza Sport. It was fairly easy to install but did take some time. The pad has an adhesive backing. Had to do some light sanding to oil pan to get the adhesive to stick well. Also, I probably could have gone with a smaller pad for my vehicle but was able to make it work.

Works well. Better than nothing
it has a built in cut off after a certain temp then cycles. Ive only had it on for about 4 hours to test on a summer night but I didn't notice the oil as hot as advertised. The unit itself gets super hot but only for about a minute then turns off and back on. Better than nothing perfect for turbo cars but dont expect the oil to get up to 90c unless maybe it was plugged in overnight. I'm sure it'll be great for the cold winter which is better than nothing.

It gets HOT!
I purchased this item to provide a solution for freeing up a roof-mounted kitchen exhaust vent that sometimes freezes up when the temperature dips below -25. I can only run it for about 30 seconds at a time before the temperature gets hotter than I am comfortable with for the application - a lower wattage model probably would have been more appropriate.

Viable option to block heater.
Easy to install and uses 1/3 power of most blockheaters and actually heats the oil and block as well.

Defective after less than a week
This 300 watt heater pad had 3M adhesive. Very easy to apply to a flat clean surface. It was the biggest pad I could find for output. However, it lasted less than one week in use, which was only a few hours each day. Likely the thermostat went defective. I thought it would be difficult to remove but it easily pulled off leaving the adhesive on my oil tank! The seller refunded the cost, which was appreciated. Not worth evaluating the product value for money. It was not the cheapest available. The item is Chinese made; it is another indictment of the quality of many Chinese products?
