LWZH 6.3" Brushed Silver Privacy Pocket Door Lock Hardware, Invisible Recessed Handle Latch with Keys, Sliding Door Mortise Lock, Double Barn Door Lock Furniture Hardware

Needed something for my daughters cool (yet unfinished needs another sanding and clear coat) curved barn door for a curved wall and this was nice. It’s a lot of work to install goes in like turn of the century old door locks. Be prepared to cut , drill and chisel to make it fit. It took a lot of tweaking but once it was in and the locking plate installed I spent about 30 minutes adjusting it but it locks every time perfectly now. I am a contractor who does woodwork bathrooms kitchens so be informed it’s not the easiest thing for a DYI.

These are absolutely beautiful and nice quality with some weight to them. The installation instructions suck, there are no templates that come with it. It doesn’t even mention that you need to cut off some length from one of the metal pieces to make it fit the width of your door (example for our 1 3/8” door.) I’m hoping my installer knows what he’s doing, but visually, these look stunning and have a deep enough recessed handle to be able to easily pull the door open or shut. The recessed part where your fingers go is slightly textured, which gives it an even nicer quality finish. The lock and key are great features since we used them on a pocket door to a room.

This mechanism is very good price for what you get. The handle is nice looking. I hired a carpenter to put this on my door because my door is new. He didn't say it was difficult to install. After he left, I could not lock the door with the dial without leaving the key in the lock. The carpenter came over, took out the handle on the locking side and turned the flat pin so it was sideways rather than up and down. He put it back on and it now works. Simple fix.

Great sturdiness but if you are not a craftsman, then get one to install this for you. It’s very specific in the tolerances but well with it.

Cut hole in our sliding doors really wouldn’t watch well

This does the job, but I wish it had a pull for the pocket door. Had to buy the pull separately. Looks nice and the lock works well.

Installation is advanced since they product includes no templates and few instructions. I had a solid core door, and glad I did. Not sure if it will work in non-solid doors. The is a very small amount of wood remaining between the latch and the end of the door. If you are not careful, the lock binds easily and takes extra time to leave the mechanism loose enough to operate. Flush mounting the latch plate on the end of the door throws off measurements. There is an un-explained pin in the lock mechanism that seems to have no purpose and I had to hack-saw it off. I am ashamed to say, it took me 5 hours to do the installation just for one lock and many more tools than is described in the instructions. Once installed, it looks nice, however, the door will no longer completely disappear into the wall. The outside handles protrude enough to prevent the door from completely closing. Perhaps this was a design choice,, I find it annoying since a pocket door should completely disappear. I would rather have a flush handle and a latch not he end of the door I can grip to pull it out. Don't be sucked in by it's great looking pics on Amazon. Run away.
