There are 2 brackets that hold my 10 foot model. After installing the brackets, the awning slides in and is secured by a bolt through each bracket. With the awning in the bracket, it is almost impossible to access the bolts to install. I think this is a design flaw. If the folks who designed the mounting brackets ever had to install one, they could easily make it a pin or something to hold it that would be easy to install.The two brackets to hold this don't seem like enough. One more in the center would be better as it has some movement. When extended, the awning moves a lot and my wife is scared it will snap. We just don't extend it fully if there is any wind at all.The frilly material at the end that hides the hardware when closed is attached by running a plastic tube through a channel in the material and then sliding that material covered tube through a channel in the front of the awning. When they sewed the channel at the factory, they were not paying attention and it was too small to get the plastic tube in at several points. I had to cut the stitching and re sew it in several places to get the plastic tube through. A little quality control would have certainly alleviated this very irritating problem. I would sure check the sewing on the awning material when you get it. I would have sent that back for a replacement, but I was in a hurry. Even the one that was sewn correctly was really hard to get through.When I bought this, I thought it was silly to have a motorized one. But, the way it is geared, it takes many many cranks to extend and retract. I think they use the same gearing for both instead of making the gear a little smaller for the hand crank. If you want a workout, buy the manual one. But, if you are on the fence, the power one would be better.On the positive side, this awning does work fine and it very attractive. For the price, if it doesn't snap in the wind, it is still a very good deal .

So far the awning is great. Follow the instruction book and you won't have any problems. Two holes did not quite line up while putting it together so I used some self tapping screws. It also called for a 19mm masonry bit which I couldn't find at my local hardware store so I used the largest tapcon screws I could find. Installed with no issues. Feels sturdy. My only issue is the hand crank, it opens easily but rolling it back in takes a little effort, I will be building a crank handle that can be run by my drill.

This is a good awning for the price, but be ready to replace the fabric in a little over a year as it fades quicker than i hoped and then looks terrible. Definitely designed for home use... not a commercial unit.

Well the building of it, one part was 90* off. Had to remove two piece to rotate so the part would work. The end caps on the front bar were a pain in the ass but made them work.Other then that, the instructions to assemble were ok, and could be better but I am mechanically inclined. I figured it out…Product is cheap but amazing for what you get. It opens flawlessly and looks amazing! Glad I purchased this item and would buy another.

Got the awning in and instructions are eh, not good. Does take 2 people, maybe three. Once it is put together make sure you anchor well! ANCHOR ANCHOR ANCHOR ! Used wood anchors into siding and the wind ripped it down. Replaced with metal "T" Anchors for tv's ( 150+ lbs each ) and is holding strong so far. Easy to use, manual in and out. Wish a motor was available, but works great for the money so far. Might update review after some time.

Included kit is for attaching to cement walls only. If you aren’t handy you will probably have problems, and when I called customer service they told me they could only quote the manual. Also not suitable for high places like my second story deck. They accepted my return but I had to pay $60 to send it back and I live close to their headquarters. Good product for a very specific application.

Instructions are useless

Warning ⚠️ if you’re not handy, this might be very difficult to install for you. My husband is a handyman and had a difficult time installing it. It took him about 3-4 (if not maybe more) hours to do it. The instructions are not very helpful. They need a to revise their instructions and make them a bit more detailed. There was a part where we had to guess and go by other people’s reviews because the instructions were not very clear. Once installed, we love it and works well.
