Very helpful
I teach English to native Chinese people and this has proven very helpful on many occasions during classes. I would have given 5 stars but the print is super-small (though I understand why) and it makes it really hard to see the characters clearly enough to write them correctly.

Thank you for making this available.
The deal is, some of that new language crosses over into Chinese - there's similarities in pronunciation. So, I purchased this to help me quickly reference/refer and help keep me focused. This way I can learn about the similarities, and differences, and (hopefully) build the language skills more effectively.

takes the apprehension out of learning Mandarin
get this! and get the one on grammar, too. this writer is efficient, packing the basis of Mandarin into two pamphlets, taking the fear out of learning this important language and the pain out of starting. start with this, keep it, and your apprehension will turn to appetite. It breaks the barriers of starting to learn and gives you a hand to hold as you progress.but the pamphlets are just as good for those who only want a basis of understanding what Mandarin is about. i recommend and give these pamphlets to parents of children who are learning Mandarin and to people who, because of travel, profession, whatever, are going to come into greater contact with the language.Americans (and I'm one) often think Mandarin, which uses unique characters for whole words, is less efficient than the English system. if i had written this review in Mandarin, i could have fit it all into a tweet.

Great tool to add to your vocabulary
I've been learning Chinese for a while now and something I've needed was a set of flash cards to help me memorize everything. I mainly listen to podcasts, but that doesn't help me recognize the characters in writing so this has been a great help.It jumps straight into pinyin translation and doesn't have an explanation for it, so you will be fine if you're already familiar with it or have access to another resource.I would seriously recommend this.
