Manufacturer changed original design to fit Wrangle JK and JL
The install is 15x harder than any of the Barricade HD install videos for the simple fact that they changed original design so that the same bumper can be used on the Wrangler JK and JL.The bolts are no longer fixed to the bumper like the stock oem bumper. You now have to get 4 individual studded brackets thru a 3inch hole in bottom of bumper to line up and come thru the bumper and then get that to line up and go thru the bumper mount on the actual jeep.1st photo is stock jk bumper it take 10 minutes to take off or reinstall.2nd photo it the BS they provide you with now. I was going to return bumper for this reason alone but I was responsible for the $180 it costs to ship back for refund so I stuck it out.3rd photo I spent $6 and got twelve 1"x1/4" stainless bolts washer and lock washers simply because the hardware they give you to mount the fog lights is so small it's almost impossible to make work within the space you're left with.P.S. because this bumper no longer has fixed mounting bolts, It moves 1/2" inch Left or Right from Center until you tighten hardware.Just beware because of ^^^^ bummer has the potential to shift Left or Right 1/2" when winching from an angle.

You get what you pay for.
I have a 2014 JK and have had this bumper installed for just over a week. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to disagree with the others that have reviewed this bumper so far.For the price, this bumper is okay -- but you get what you pay for. There are no cutouts for trail lighting or notches for a hi-lift jack. That's okay and expected at this price point. If you are going to do any kind of towing at all, this probably isn't the best bumper for you. Having a JK, especially a 2-door, definitely limits your cargo-carrying options. If you're like me, you have to use a trailer a few times a year to carry larger items that just won't fit in the back of the JK (even with the top off). This bumper has an integrated hitch with two glaring problems: the biggest is that there are no holes to hook the safety chain from your trailer to the bumper. If you are planning on doing any towing at all, you are going to have to either drill your own holes or figure out a way to extend your safety chains and maybe hook them to the existing shackle points. Secondly, there is nowhere to mount the Jeep's trailer wiring harness connector. I ended up having to zip-tie it to the frame's rear cross-member and will have to cut the zip ties to get it to hang down when I need to plug into it.Beyond that, the quality of the bumper is about what you'd expect for a bumper at this price that is made in China. The welds are pretty rough, although the overall fit is good. My bumper was damaged during shipping, with the powder coating on both ends and the tire carrier latch damaged. And speaking of the tire carrier latch, it arrived bent over to about a 45-degree angle and I ended up having to use a block of wood and a mallet to beat it back into vertical so that the tire carrier would close and latch properly. I have attached a few of the photos that I sent to Extreme Terrain telling them about the problems.Although this is a review of the bumper and not the seller, I will say that Extreme Terrain was very helpful when I told them about my issues and they seemed eager to make it right. It's always nice to see a company stand behind the products they sell. All in all I would say as long as you keep your expectations in check, then this is a good bumper for the price. It does look better and is more durable than the stock bumper. However, if I were going to do it all over again, knowing what I know now, I would save up and spend a little more on a higher-quality, made in America bumper.

Looks and Feels Solid - Some Pointers for Install
Just some pointers...I like this bumper/tire carrier combo. Just put it on last Saturday. It seems to be a great bumper, a TON more solid than the plastic stock bumper. There are no instructions, but is was fairly simple to figure out. Pointer 1 - disconnect the driver side rubber muffler hanger. This is done by lubing the top hanger stopper with WD-40 and pry the sucker off. It is challenging task, but it will make the install of the 4 center bolts a lot easier, trust me! Pointer 2 - remove all the stock bumper brackets before you install the new bumper, which will allow a bunch of room for install - get someone to help you hold the bumper to start the two side mounting bolts. Pointer 3 - things are tight in there! Open end wrenches are nice, 16, 17, 18mm will be needed. Pointer 4 - check the tire mount bracket with the depth of your wheel/rim BEFORE you try to put your tire on. You want some gap so your tire does not rub on the carrier, but not more than 1/2" or so. Pointer 5 - if you want a 3rd light, don't expect a 3rd light application to come with the unit. I understand that there is an aftermarket that I'm going to search for. Pointer 6 - The tire carrier may not fit on the stem of the bumper. This was the biggest challenge for me. The tube may have gotten dinged in shipping. If this is the case, you may have to do some grinding inside the tube of the carrier to get it to fit. A small brake hone may be used to make sure the tube fits onto the stem. It's now been a while that I have had this bumper/carrier combo. Things that drive me nuts: the powder coat is peeling in a couple places and the handle rattles like crazy! I had to tie a nylon strap around the handle and the carrier to get it to stop.
