Flash Furniture Contemporary Brown Vinyl Adjustable Height Barstool with Solid Wave Seat and Chrome Base

I need a stool/chair for my standing workstation and based on item description of 34" height I thought it would fit the bill. Unfortunately when I sat on the chair, the seat height was only 29". I only weight 150 pounds, so the compression isn't more than inch. The lack of 3-4 inches of additional height renders this stool unusable for me, which is too bad because it seems like a nice stool.I've sat in it for a total of about 2-3 hours and found it comfortable (though the foot rest is in a bad position for taller individuals).The stool is very easy to put together, maybe 5-10 minutes. The down side is that once it's assembled it will not come apart. The seller offered a refund but I needed to pay return shipping, which was almost as much as the cost of the stool since it doesn't disassemble. Ugghh.I've ordered the Boss B16245-BK Caressoft Medical/Drafting Stool with Back Cushion (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I3ZRQM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which should be high enough for my standing workstation. I'll review once I've put it together and tried it out.

I was very hesitant to order these stools after seeing similar styles in high-end stores that were priced at $300 EACH, I didn't have a lot of confidence in something this reasonable. Thankfully, I was wrong! These stools are amazing. Sturdy, fashionable, and easy to assemble (everything you need is in the box!)We have used these now for about a month, and had a few parties to test them out. Everyone loves them and comments on how comfy they are-- and how sexy! They're perfect for our higher kitchen dining bar, and spin smoothy, as well as raise up and down without any problems.The deciding factor for me what that they hold up to 300 lbs, something that several of the other stools we looked at online did not. Their limit was 200 lbs, which could be awkward if you have folks over and they are too 'heavy' for your stools! These were tried out by a friend who weighs in at 285 and they didn't even creak.The chrome finish is perfect; the vinyl seats (we ordered white) are good quality with nice stitching and an easy to clean surface.I can't say enough about these-- If you're doubting the quality for the price you'll pay, put that worry away and enjoy these beauties!

Three stars for being the general shape of a stool, and after some rigamarole, fulfilling the duties of a stool. My stool pieces arrived loose, bouncing around in a box with a couple pointless air pillows thrown in. The hardware was missing. I initiated a return, but that required me to haul the thing to a UPS store to send it back. I'm disabled, with significant mobility issues, which is why I needed a stool, and also why I pay for Amazon to deliver stuff to my door. I couldn't get it back within the return window, so reached out to the manufacturer. They were very nice and provided a rapid response. They'd get 5 stars for service! I told them about the hardware issue, they asked for my address, and sent out a new hardware pack free of charge. Shipped via FedEx it was here within a week. I finally got the stool put together tonight. Seems to function just fine as a stool. The seat should ideally line up with the foot rest, but the holes for where the seat screws in to the stem must not be drilled entirely square, so the seat sits slightly askew from the footrest and this cannot be remedied. This doesn't affect function very much, if at all, but if you're the kind of person who needs that kind of thing to be dead on, this would be aggravating. The edges of the seat are also heat sealed prior to being stitched and there are cosmetic imperfections. The stitching looks okay so far. At some point during transit with no padding, a heavy part was butted up against the seat so there's a permanent divot in the foam. The stool functions just fine and it does the job now that the company helped out with new hardware, but it's an inexpensive stool and you get about what you pay for... hopefully with less headache than I had.

So disappointed with this item. I noticed all the tears/cracks in several places after putting it together. The material is of cheap quality and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have lasted a week, after seeing all that defect. I returned it.

Placed this underneath the open space in my bathroom vanity. Whoever "designed" the vanity top when they did a reno (before we bought) didn't take into account the usual height of vanity chairs/stools. This solved my problem, looks extremely handsome, and works just fine! I needed a 22" seat height and I needed not to obstruct the drawer that pulls out. This was the perfect answer.

I've had this bar stool chair for almost three years and it has held up rather nicely!Between sitting and using it to hold stacks of books when the island was inaccessible it has definitely held up!It is as comfortable as expected for a chair with no back and little cushion. Definitely a decent chair without all of that!

We bought 4 of these barstools because of their modern style and adjustable height. These are unexpensive for a reason. They are very easy to assemble and looked great. We use it on our kitchen island (everyday use) and whithin few months the vinyl started coming appart by the seams and the plastic ring on the bottom to protect floors from the metal base broke. I added some felt dots to the bottom to avoid the marks on my tile but there is little I can do abut the seams. See pictures.

I feel bad for giving this a bad rating because it was easy to put together & it was comfy but it came dirty ! I put it together because I thought I could clean it but it won’t come off . I’m upset because I paid for a brand new bar chair & it looks used. AND the bottom of the seat doesn’t stay on the chair ! Not sturdy at all

Had 2 of these for about a year and got two more as spares. They're good enough but the sealant on the seats is peeling off the sides and they're easily scratched and come dented.

Great chairs great price, easy to assemble...didn't love the color but for the price it's growing on me.

Be careful with the expedition fees. No details in the description. It costed me more than the price of the stools.For that reason, I don't recommend it for canadian buyers.But the customer service was good.

Very suitable bar chair, convenient to sit and it does not take much space, really invisible.

You get what you see. Pretty sturdy. Not something you would want to sit in longer than a meals time
