Great Product
This is the 2nd Hakka product I bought. The first was a manual sausage stuffer. It works great so I decided to stick with same brand. This mixer is smaller than "I" thought but is the size as advertised. (Thats on me). assembly and operation went smoothly though I will say directions are NOT that great. Clean up was somewhat difficult only because of how the paddle attaches inside machine. As an Engineer I cant think of a better way though.OVERALL- this is a great product to buy but would recommend if you're buying a mixer choose one that holds more meat than you think you're going to need to mix.

pretty good mixer
it claims to be a 15 lb mixer but there is almost no way it will do more than 10 lbs at a time , with that said its built like a tank , very heavy duty , you shouldn't have to worry about bending the paddles , with the gear box its very easy to turn when fully loaded with meat , it mixed the seasoning very well , its hard to get the meat out without taking the paddles out but thats easy to do . overall its a really good mixer , but i will attach my cordless drill to it for our next batch of sausage instead of cranking it by hand ( easy to do ) just to keep from doing all that cranking

The mixer works well.
I give the 15-pound Hakka direct drive mixer 4 stars. The mixer worked well mixing a batch of meat for snack sticks. It was a bit hard to turn and made me think the gear driven model would have been a little better. Another reason for the 4-star review is the wingnuts that hold the mixer paddle to the end shafts are hard to work. Very tight for old fat fingers. I made a tool to help with that. It seemed to be at capacity with 10 pounds of ground meat, and 2 pounds of cheese chunks. Overall, for the money it worked well. It did the job in half the time of mixing it by hand. And it was easier than hand mixing. Down the road when my budget is more flexible, I will get a larger unit that has some gear reduction. I would recommend this for anyone that needs a mixer on a limited budget.

You won’t have issues
Holy WOW this thing is sturdy! It costs a lot but if you’re looking for the thing that will offer you professional performance with no drama this is it. There’s no way any amateur could be disappointed with this thing. It’s thick gauge stainless and so easy to clean. It comes apart with few pieces. It’s made to last a lifetime. I’m pretty sure it can be hooked to a motor but I didn’t bother this deer season. I mixed 140lbs of meat in this thing by hand in 2 days. Never a hiccup... and most of the time spent was butchering. The seasonings mixed thoroughly. I’m a complainer but couldn’t recommend this higher. It costs a lot but it’s a multi- lifetime investment.

build quality is not bad
worked great after we fixed the wiring and switches. i wish the speed control worked. if the electrics weren't all messed up i would have gave it a higher rating.

It gets the job done very easy
It's a great piece of equipment, specially when yo need to process large amounts of meat... You know, the large amount of meat if you do by hand, your arms will fall off 😂. The only thing it's that you need to clean it very good once you use it, but it takes 15 minutes top, no more than that. Remember if you are going to clean it, is everything from the inside and you need to disassemble the crank and remove the screws so that you can clean inside the machine and there are no remains of meat. The first time you do it, if possible record it or take a photo so that you know how things are going and then you can assemble it without problem. After the first time, cleaning is very simple and mechanical.

Nicely made, good deal for price
I like to make 10 pound batches of sausage, the 20 pound mixer works well for the size of my batches. Mixes as well as any other mixer that I have used in the past. As with any meat processing device clean up is intense and requires a bit of work with a stiff brush to clean out any crevices. No better or worse that cleaning my grinder or stuffer.Welding of the mixing paddles could be better, considering the use I see no issues, if the welds break I will reweld if the issue arises.Overall build quality is not bad, heavy stainless steel body with a nice stainless steel lid.Assembly is simple requiring an install of the lid handle and the four feet.

Great job mixing sausage mix..
Used my new Hakka mixer today.. Worked as well as I had hoped it would. Made 11 pounds of sausage and mixer was pretty much full.. Maybe would have taken another 1-2 pounds.. Clean up is time consuming but any meat mixer will be. Easy to dismantle and clean.. Very happy..
