Fantastic Bag. So so so so much to love about it.
I have different photo backpacks for different purposes. My most used bag until now was the erstwhile tamrac expedition 5. Its the bag I bring to on location photo shoots. I typically need to pack two dslr bodies (5Dii and 5diii) along with the 70-200 lens and the 24-105 as well as the usual assortment of small accessories (cf cards, batteries, business cards, etc etc. This all fit okay, but not great and usually I wanted to bring a speedlite or another niche lens and other larger accessories. I had been holding off purchasing a new bigger bag because I was trying to be less self indulgent. It worked for a couple of years but finally I couldn't take it anymore and I began shopping for a bag that would give me greater flexibility when I was shooting away from the studio.I looked at all the usual bag makers and some lesser known as well. I was reluctant to purchase this one because it is so new. I hemmed and hawed over it, making myself nuts. The only review when I was purchasing it had given it three stars. I finally decided that amazon's amazing return possible was a good enough reason to buy the bag, test it out and see if I wanted to keep it.Okay, enough with my preamble.... this bag is OUTSTANDING. So incredibly well designed and meticulously crafted. The engineers at Tamrac have achieved an incredible balance between lightness and durability. This bag is so lightweight that when I fill it with gear I don't feel like I am breaking my back. Now, instead of just the two bodies and two lenses, I typically have three or four lenses and a speedlite or two along with accessories. And there is still room for more.As with any camera bag you are going to have to get creative with the dividers and the placement of your equipment. One of the things that was important to me with this purchase was the ability to stand lenses up between the dividers. My old bag was too short front to back to have them standing up. This bag handles the 24-105 standing perfectly. I do not have a grip on either of my cameras so the depth of this bag is a bit much for the cameras but I don't at all have the sense that they aren't seated securely. It's a matter of getting dividers and elastic velcro straps positioned creatively. When I have the 70-200 on the 5Diii, there is a fair amount of wiggle room down the middle of the bag. But between the velcro straps and the dividers, keeping the camera and lens in place is really not an issue. Seriously I can't imagine anyone with any combination of DSLR and lenses not being able to use this bag and use it well. It's just that good.My laptop is small (surface pro 3) so the nicely padded laptop compartment easily fits it. From Tamrac's website I read that it fits most 15 inch laptops. The front pockets are great. I like the way they open, and like that there are pockets inside. There are just so many ways to organize the smaller things I bring with me. Inside there are three more plastic pockets for more organization. The waist belt is intense.... very seriously made and quite comfortable. But I don't hike with the bag so I don't usually need a waist belt so I was happy to see that it is removable. It isn't altogether easy to remove because the velcro that holds it in place fights hard to hang on to it, but I was eventually able to wrestle it free. I seriously doubt if I will ever use it but honestly if you are hiking with this bag that belt is going to be your best friend.I don't want to go on and on but suffice it to say that this bag is HUGELY customizable. And if it doesn't come with everything you need, there are velcro accessories that attach to the outside of the bag. I'm kind of hankering for the water bottle holder although at the moment the bottom front pocket is holding my poland spring bottle. When I need that pocket for my tripod I'll have to find something else for my water and I might get the tamrac water bottle attachment (which at the moment is sold out everywhere).Anyway, to conclude, I think this bag is the perfect combination of fantastic features. I can't really imagine a better bag for my purposes. Well, maybe I would like a few more pockets but I am a bit of a pocket freak. The average photographer is going to be happy with the pockets on this bag.If you have any questions, please ask. I'll write back, I promise.BOTTOM LINE: Great bag. Super LIGHTWEIGHT but DURABLE. Highly customizable. Holds a lot in a relatively small space. Very versatile and a most reasonable price as far as bags go.

Bought this specifically for air travel.
“Passengers may bring 1 carry on bag to be placed in the overhead bin and 1 personal item stored under your seat…”I bought the anvil super 25 primarily because it met the size limits for carry on bags with the airline so I could bring my canon 500mm f/4L II lens on my recent Yellowstone trip (my “carry on bag”). It has enough space to even keep the camera and a 1.4x extender attached. The bag seems well made and is cushioned in all the right places to keep the lens safe (with hood reversed). The shoulder straps and back padding are comfortable. The waist belt helps take the weight off your shoulders when the bag starts getting heavy (depending on what you put in/on it)Having the extra elastic pockets and attach points on the outside for things like water bottles, external lens cases, etc is a huge plus. I can even strap my benro CF travel tripod to it. The empty lens cases can be stuffed inside the bag when it’s in the overhead bin to keep its footprint down. My camera and other lenses were in my other Tamrac backpack under the seat (my “personal item”). I dropped an AirTag in one of the internal pockets just in case.I used some Velcro straps to keep the rain poncho secured to the side of the case. Would have been nice if tamrac had Velcro already on the poncho bag. Another improvement would be to the 4 mem card (?) pockets inside the zipper flap at the top- Put a magnet or Velcro on them so your memory cards/batteries don’t fall out if you open the flap too fast. This wasn’t an issue for me, but I can easily see it happening due to the design.Overall the backpack is outstanding.

Very nice backpack BUT...
I shoot with a Sony A1 and I have two long lenses, a Sony 200mm-600mm zoom lens and the Sony 600mm f4.0 prime lens. I also use a 1.4x Sony teleconverter. I purchased this backpack to be able to carry my camera with the 600mm lens. This is what the pack is designed for. The backpack itself is well constructed, seems to be sufficiently rugged (I have not tried it in the field yet) and has removable pads that secure against the interior walls with velcro. The pack when fully loaded is comfortable to wear. It works well for the camera with the 200mm-600mm zoom lens. However, the 600mm lens barely fit inside the backpack and only fits if some of the removable padding is taken out. Even then, it's a tight squeeze with virtually no room for anything else. A laptop, tablet or extra lens is not going to fit in this bag with the 600mm lens. I can put a teleconverter in the bag as long as it is not attached to the camera. Another two inches in height and the dimensions would be perfect. As is though its functionality is limited by the interior dimensions.

Solid and well built bag for a big lens and camera attached, nothing else.
This is a solid, well built bag that doesn't wobble when you set it down with a heavy lens and camera in it (and believe me some do). It's a little on the minimalist side and I expected that. Still, another padded pocket or two would have been nice or Tamrac could have included a 1.3 or 1.6 arc lens bag with it. It's single purpose is to safely carry a big telephoto lens and camera attached (500mm or 600mm) with a minimum of weight and it does that very well. If you need a bag to carry a few other lenses, an extra body and other accessories, this is not for you. It has solid and comfortable shoulder straps and a hip belt that work as they should to balance the weight on your shoulders and hips. There is some space inside for batteries and memory cards. You can put a small water bottle in the side pouches (one on each side). It has a nice rain cover that folds neatly into a very small size pouch. The bag looks great without being too flashy if that's important to you. I had options in this price range like the Lowepro Lens Trekker or the Think Tank Glass Limo. The Lowepro was too big and too heavy for my needs (weight is a big consideration for me so is extra wasted space). The Glass Limo was missing 1 or 2 inches in height for me to consider it. I need to be able to pack the lens with camera and TC attached and I feared it would have been too tight plus I already have the Glass Taxi and while it's a a great bag, it's not that comfortable on long hikes (It's more cylindrical in shape than the Tamrac which lies more flat on the back). Other options were either too expensive, looked bad or seemed cheaply made or designed. I've had many Lowepro bags (two of them had design failures over time) and I then switched to Think Tank (2 bags). It's my first Tamrac and I hope it will last a long time.

Bello, comodo e capiente.

Very comfortable and surprisingly roomy
My main reason for purchasing the Anvil was the pocket on the front into which to place the tripod legs before strapping it on; I found "dangling" the tripod just with straps made it unstable, and strapping it on the side of the bag gave a poor weight distribution. I then looked for one which would be very comfortable - which this is, and had ample additional pockets for stowing extra items after the camera and lenses, which this does. Overall very pleased with it.
