Winsome24-Inch Square Leg Counter Stool, Black, Set of 2

Affordable bar stools and fairly high quality. We were looking for a good value and these stools fit the bill. They are sturdy, look nice, and are a perfect height for a kitchen island or peninsula counter. We just remodeled the kitchen and we were looking for stools that wouldn't stick out much from the bar as it only hangs 8 inches out from the peninsula. These stools have a narrow enough profile that they tuck against the peninsula fairly well and still have a large enough seating surface to comfortable seat an average adult.As for the quality, the paint is not bad. There were a few tiny areas where more care could have been taken such as the underside of the seating surface where there is an unpainted square about 4x4 inches where they must have set it on a stand to paint it at the factory or something. Once I unwrapped them and put them in place I never thought of or saw the unpainted square as the stools are pretty low. I suppose if you're playing on the floor with your kids and look up you could see it.Also. the horizontal foot rests/steps that are made of wooden dowels are attached to the four legs by being fitted into holes in the legs which makes sense; the issue is that they are also held into those holes by nails that aren't all hammered in all the way. I bought one set of stools (two total) and I had to hammer in bout 5-6 nails about 1/16 of an inch more to make sure the semi-sharp little heads weren't sticking out as they would pose a scratching risk to our kids little fingers or perhaps a tearing risk to some delicate pants. I just used a drift (larger nail with flat tip) which I placed against the tiny finishing nail heads and tapped them in. You could also easily cut off the extra with a dremel cut-off wheel. This hammering project only took about 10-15 minutes as I was being slow and careful not to ding the wood so don't let that discourage you. Also, many people might not notice the nails and not care or perhaps I just got an unlucky batch where the guy making it got lazy or distracted. Who knows.Overall, they are great stools, especially for the price. I actually plan on buying another set as I think we have room for them at the bar as well. The finish is decent, they are fairly sturdy, and the price is right. If I had it to do over again I would buy the same ones as the few minutes it took to fix the nails was not an issue for me.

I use this item in my kitchen so I can have a place to sit when washing dishes or eating at the counter. Stools are really made out of wood. Hard, yes. Comfortable to sit on if one needs a rest stop. Cushions would be nice. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. I would order another set if the price was reasonable. Also, would look great with the pub table.

I generally do not review but this product worth mentioning. I bought this in September and used it for a while ( 3-4 months) and now I think I am eligible to talk / review about this product.It is very comfortable, sturdy, clean and very easy to assemble ( wait, there is nothing to assemble, just take right out of the box and use). We are a family of three and now everybody wants to sit on this. With no other option, I order one more set today and thought of giving a review.I totally recommend this product and great value for money.

I like them and would buy them again. The tops of them were not finished very well, several shiny spots I had to buff out of both stools. The paint is nice but does show the wood grain, not on account of transparency but because of texture, I might have opted for a wood finish had I realized that, but I'm happy with them. They weren't very expensive, and I do like them so I'd say go for it, they are very sturdy and do not rock. The only bad things are the packaging, mine came ok but had several little chips and paint dings that could probly have been avoided. All in all tho, not worse than a couple weeks of regular use wouldn't produce.

These stools are Super sturdy. They come pre assembled and are put together with quality. They are a tad small in regards to diameter. But they are a great value for the money! Highly recommend!!

I liked the idea of buying these as they come fully assembled. I figured I would need to tighten them up after being shipped, but they were put together solidly. The seats are covered in plastic for shipping protection and removing this plastic was a bit tricky, but simple enough. I got the antique walnut color and these stools accent the space nicely. They are being used for seating at a small kitchen counter eating area. I don't think i would want to sit on one for hours and hours, but no problem to sit down and visit with the cook or to eat a quick meal.

These are an excellent value and are holding up well to the daily use of students (teens) in my science classroom. These are well made and look great.

Not many of these stools come assembled. Not only do I not want the trouble, I don't trust the sturdiness of something I have to assemble. This is quite sturdy and it's a good height to be sat on without using your hands.

Love them they are perfect for my island, but one of the first two had a split where the seat met one of the legs.They sent me two now ones which was great because I was able to just take one out of the box (I had already thrown the original box out) and put the damaged one it.

Very sturdy. Came quickly and good quality. They came already put together so that’s a bonus. I would recommend them. Great price for the quality

This two-pac bar stools are exactly as described, very solid, and already assembled. The Amazon delivery was two day in one box. The color is a dark brown walnut espresso. Everything is perfect. I use them for a side table beside the chair to place the laptop. A great buy at about $35 each and at $71 for the pair could not be beat anywhere else.

Like the color, quality, sturdiness, and I used it to put under a console table for home style with purpose. These are the 24 size.
