Backyard Water Gardens: How to Build, Plant & Maintain Ponds, Streams & Fountains

This pond book is well illustrated and makes concepts that are new to be, somewhat understandable. The somewhat is my problem rather that that of the author. I have two other similar books which are not as basic. And although this is basic, I am certain that it is a profitable read for others.

Was a gift, it has all much information. Great gift he reads it every time he wants to know something about his pond. There is information for every season.

Backyard Waster Gardens gives the basic information quite well. It allows the reader to learn and begin to plan with the details presented. Nice pictures, plus the Resource and Sources at the end lead the reader to making the dream of a water feature a reality.

Saw book at library and decided to get a copy, but too expensive to buy new. Found good quality used copy at fair price.

Will probably stop you making any seriously bad mistakes, but the coverage is very shallow. For example, the section on fish only lists two types.

This book is very specifically instructional. It's very thorough. I highly recommend it.

I can't imagine a topic on water gardens that this book doesn't cover. That is to say, this book covers it all. The diagrams are good, too. While some books I've checked out in the library focus on design, this book focuses on the mechanics of a garden. It covers design, too.

A concise but thorough pond book. It has simple, straightforward answers to many of my questions. Lots of diagrams and pictures add to understanding what to do. Id strongly recommend this book

The book does a good job of the construction and installation of ponds. I would have rated it higher if the Fall shutdown information was more detailed

Very good , it contains much more information than I need, I have a small pond with gold fish and a few plants and wanted to find a water fountain for it, these ponds shown were out of my leaque ...Dave

Limited information on pond building tecniques - just linners or hard plastic! No other tecniques explored...Some good ideas nevertheless...
