Smith Optics Session MIPS Mountain Cycling Helmet

Quality product and perfect fit. I got this helmet on sale but I don't know if I would pay full price.

Good helmet , comfortable and stable

Fits good feels comfortable and is lightweight

Pros: MIPS, Color-swatch, amazon-primed/shipped quickly, sizing-chart correct/fits greatCons: VaporFit NAPE hurt the back of my neck after riding for a few hours and the chinstrap slid with not much force out of the boxSummary: I really like this helmet because the color matches my sway, it's MIPS, the venting works well, it fits underneath my Outdoor Research GTX, and my Smith Goggles match perfectly.The VaporFit NAPE (the part of the neck strap that secures the helmet) edges were sharp out of the box and hurt my neck! So I sanded them with a quarter and x-acto knife and resolved that issue and reinforced the chinstrap and stopped the sliding with a hair-tie.All-in-all, people compliment my helmet and it really does fit great and I hope I never test the MIPS protection that it offers but knowing I can go harder, makes me.

Light weight.

It’s a good looking helmet, and feels solid. The construction is good, and the pads look like they are comfortable. But....After measuring my head, I ordered the medium thinking the size would fit well. That’s what my two Giros are. The medium on me feels a little smaller, and sits higher on the head. It’s almost like my head is in-between sizes, and I will need to order the next size up:

I’ve been trying to find a crash helmet that rivals the comfort of a TLD A1 for a long time but never have. I think this may be the one?Whilst it doesn’t have the same amount of padding (or very much padding at all) as an A1, it is very very comfortable.The visor is a bit titchy compared to others but still looks good and functions okay with keeping stuff out of your eyes.Only complaints would be that the straps are a bit rubbish and twisted, it could do with one of the newer magnetic clasps, and the vents on top are so big that insects like to fly into them

Nice and fitting out of the box, good adjustments also well vented. Looks good and is well build.Fits well also to bigger head (mine is ~60 cm) + leaves room for light beanie if needed during winter rides.Structure feels and looks very safe too, let`s hope no need to find out how safe it is.Only additional thing I`m missing is to have a spare paddings included in box already.

Esta marca me da mucha confianza mi anterior casco de esta marca me salvó la vida en una caída por delante solo se rajo un poco pero mi cabeza no sufrió ningún daño ,solo una parte de mi vértebra c7 pero aseguro que el casco cumplió su función y este me.parece mejor acabo connsistema MIPS y dropp que también absorbe la energía de los golpes.
