A good purchase
A nice sized ceiling fan for all small - medium sized rooms. The blades are designed well. Functions as expected. Since one of four fans from Home Depot had an issue, we decided to purchase the fourth from Amazon. Arrived on time, the quality is perfect & the price was slightly lower as well.Light could be brighter, thats our only observation. Overall, they look great.

Beautiful looking minimalist fan but installation is challenging
I recently renovated my bedroom and went with a minimalist grey and white scheme. I had a Hunter fan previously but it was a traditional, oak fan that looked very heavy. This fan has reversible blades - one side is a weathered gray look and the other is a darker gray brown. The fan could be challenging to install for someone who has never installed a ceiling fan before but it is doable. I've installed three different ceiling fans in my house by this point so I'm used to the bumps in the road. I already had the electrical box attached to my roof structure so I didn't have to worry about that. Also, this fan had far less parts than my previous Hunter fan so it looks like Hunter has improved the installation process that much to make it easier on us. That first fan took me 2-3 hours to put up. This one took an hour. There are a few notes on installation to keep in mind before you start.1) Absolutely install the pull chains before installing the fan. The chains came out of their holes in my housing and it was a bugger to fish them back in. Not impossible, just irritating. There are supposed to be blocks on the chains to keep them from falling out but the blocks on mine had fallen off so I had to fish the chains back into place.2) The other difficulty was when I was screwing the fan blades on. The screws are difficult to get into place and to get started because you're trying to hold the blade and hold the screws and hold the screwdriver. For some reason, the screws don't "catch" on the threads immediately and it takes a while to get the screws to go in.3) Plug the light into the plug handing down from the fan before you screw the light kit to the fan. You can't really plug the wires together after you screw the light kit to the fan. The directions have the steps backwards, I think.Basically, just have some patience and don't try to be in a hurry when installing the fan.I didn't install this with a remote. I have just one light switch that powers on everything - the light and the fan. If I want to turn one or the other off, I just use the pull chain. One weird thing is that when I first turned the light on after installation, I thought it was incredibly dim and I was disappointed. However, when I went in 5 minutes later, the light seemed perfectly bright. I thought it was my brain playing tricks on me so I experimented and the light does indeed start off dim and then slowly goes up in brightness. I went back to the description on Amazon but couldn't find mention of this. I don't know whether it's the bulbs (I used the two bulbs that came with it) or if it is within the electrical of the fan itself. I like the dim start-off now and actually prefer it. It's not so jarring in the morning at 5:00am :)The fan is fairly large and while it is low profile compared to what I had before, it does still hang down quite a bit. The description says flush mount but it's really not. The fan hangs down about 8" from the ceiling to the trim ring. That is still less than my previous fan which hung down a good 10-12".For looks and style, I'd give it five stars because it does look incredible and looks expensive even though it's not. However, I'm giving it four stars because the installation is challenging if you're not a DIYer. However, I can say that Hunter fans last a long time. This is the fourth Hunter I've installed in my house and I only changed it because I wanted a different aesthetic. The other two fans that are still installed are more than 10 years old and I haven't had a single issue with either of them. So I believe the Hunter brand is definitely good.

Works pretty good and quiet. Need to provide CFM rating.
Had some screws that were a pain to access but overall decent install. Works better than replaced fan but not as good as hoped. Could not find CFM rating anywhere. Kind of important when shopping for best airflow.

Nice, but doesn’t match the pictures
Happy with the look and functionality, but the look of units (2) that I received don’t match the pictures on Amazon or those on the box. The blades are the exact same color as the base. Can’t speak to the ease of installation as I hired an electrician to do that.

I like mostly
Better fan than my old Hunter. Chain is easy to pull, light is good when I replaced the bulbs with 14watt LED. Only negative is that the reverse switch is internal. You have to take the globe off to get to switch. Not hard but every time you risk breaking the globe. I reverse my fan more often than twice a year so it is important to me. If I had known this I would have gotten another model.

It started with a clicking ticking sound
The fan is a nice looking, sturdy, contemporary design. I bought 3 of these fan 3 years ago when I first moved into my condo. The fan in my bedroom worked well for a couple of months. The three speeds worked very well. I usually ran it on the slow (first) speed as I room is not very big. I used it mainly during the night. I only ran it for the summer months. At first there was this clicking ticking noise. I thought it was the pull string bumping up against the casing. The noise was not annoying enough to further inspect. Then the ticking became more noticeable. I have two other fans just like this one in other rooms in my home. They did not making any ticking noise. Those fans still work well (lucky me). This year 2021 The fan has slowed down. On the first speed the blades barely move, the second speed barely works like the first speed and the third high speed works at medium speed. Of course it is out of warranty. Did I get Lemon?? You bet. My advise to ANYONE who buys this fan is if it starts making ANY type of clicking ticking or off noise return it ASAP. I wish I had.*Update It pays to do research. Since writing this review I went to the Hunter info page. In the trouble shooting section they suggested to check to make sure the pull string is set correctly and that the reverse button is sitting correctly and not halfway between directions. Viola!! I don't know which of these suggestions worked (I did both). My fans now working fine, now for that clicking sound...

Great value
We had our contractor check pricing on similar fans and we were looking at 300 and up in stores even with his contractor discount. This is a quiet fan that is beautiful in our large bedroom. We have enough remotes in our lives so we chose pull cords and we’re so glad we did because the pull cords are an eye catcher. Gave it four stars because two contractors working together commented on difficulty installing the fan. We think though this beautiful fan is well worth it

Elegant and silent
I am a fan... of this fan! It was a bit of a pain to install, but so are most fans, and if you read carefully some of the tips that other users have put in their comments you should do it in about one hour. It is next to silent on the two slowest settings. I'm considering installing the same model in another room too.

Great fan!! Not completely silent
This is a great fan the only Problem I have with it is there is low sound “bit of a hum”coming out of it while running on low speed. The last hunter fan I bought was completely silent while running on low as I have it in my bedroom it’s nice not to hear it..
