This is the real deal.
I tried a cheap Chinese made look-alike. It quit in 2 days. They sent another. It lasted 20 seconds. I should have spent the extra money for this Jabsco. It works great, I've had previous experiences with Jabsco and have always been very pleased with them.

I was a little disappointed in the fact that when I applied power to ...
I was a little disappointed in the fact that when I applied power to the pump , the pump did not come on. I realize that on occasion , electric motors will need assistance in starting, but not in the application where you replace your holding tank pump with the hoses full of waste it becomes a little crappy if you know what I mean. Removed the rubber plug at the back of the motor and using a Large common screw driver I managed to get the motor to free up. Applied power and this time the motor came on. Reinstalled pump to the holding tank system and was able to pump my tank out. All good now. Appears to be a good product. Just a bump in the road.

Lousy reliability, not worth the extra cost of OEM name.
Installed pump in my boat in late 2021 and it was stone dead by 2024, with only very (and I mean very) light use. Internal pump seals failed, resulting in the motor shorting out. I will probably purchase a similar pump at half the price, as reliability of Jabsco unit does not warrant the extra cost. That's my two cents, for what it's worth.
