Perfect centering on 1/2 and 3/4 material. Easy to clamp for stability. Price was right.QC on the first one I received was shoddy. 1/2” collar knurling was crosshatched super light. When I started to drill with a 1/2” bit, the collar started spinning and pulled out of the plastic. No biggie though. Contacted seller and they sent a replacement the next day. Replacement worked great. Was able to have my holes drilled for floating shelves. Great addition to the kreg collection.

I’ve only used the Kreg Portable Drilling Guide once so far, but it performed exactly as expected. The six hardened drill guides make it easy to drill accurate, straight holes, and it’s simple to set up. It seems like a solid addition to my tool collection for any carpentry or home improvement projects.While I can’t speak to its long-term durability just yet, the initial use was smooth, and it did the job perfectly. Overall, it’s a reliable tool that looks like it will be very useful. Looking forward to using it more!

I have been a finish carpenter for fourty years. I bought one of these a few years ago and it just sat in tool cabinet. The day I need it for perfectly straight hole in a tight spot it save the day. It was such a save, I bought two more that day. One for the equipment trailer and a buddy. It is a great valve for a amateur or professional.

At some point I thought I’d like to have a drill press for certain operations but really couldn’t justify the expense. While this tool can’t compare, it does allow me to drill more precise holes- like a drill press would- and I’m happy with the improved quality of my work.Nice tool. Recommended.

The Milescraft JointMate is useful to drill your flat side dowels because of the adjustable edge clamp. The Kreg snaps snuggly on your 3/4" melamine edge so you can easily line it up with the flat side holes with the indicators for easy perfect wood dowel holes. I don't want to go back to wood screws now. I am even fastening my circular saw jig with wood dowels and glue.

This cheap tool is easy to use and guarantees straight holes in your woodworking. Definitely worth your money for the upgrade in precision woodworking.
