Works on glass and ceramic
Works beautifully for cheap drill bits, better then expected honeslty. Drills through pots like butter. I've basically made it a hobby where i go to thrift stores and buy pots or vases and put plants in them. But alot of these things don't have holes in the bottom for drainage. But these drill bits basically came in clutch. Easy to use just make sure you have running water and start at an angle so the bit and catch on. And also be prepared to catch the drill at the end because once it breaks through to the other side it'll send the drill punching through.

Who buys planting pots without noticing there are no drainage holes? Me, apparently.
I bought these drill bits to add drainage holes to a small collection of ceramic and clay pots that I've accumulated over the years. Some are small - think 2" individual cacti and succulent pots-- a few in the 8-10'" range, and one 16" monster with walls an inch thick.I'm happy to report that all now have cleanly cut drainage holes, and that it took no more than a minute each for all but the big one, which nonetheless took only a few minutes with the one inch bit. It's crucial to follow the two pictographic instructions: 1) Start the hole with the bit at a 45 degree angle to the work surface and once it "bites" return to 90 degrees, and 2) keep the bit wet. When first starting, keep the drill speed low, and use both hands to hold it in place, as the bit will want to walk.I gave these 3 stars in the durability category only because while the 1" bit did its job, it is now completely worn out and in the trash. That said, these are inexpensive, they work just fine for my needs, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Read the Instructions FIRST
I read the reviews for these inexpensive tile hole saw drill bits, and I was somewhat concerned that they might not cut the holes I needed in my ceramic floor tile. However, I am very pleased with the results. I only needed two of the bits and both quickly drilled the holes with no problem. I drilled five holes with the 1/4 inch hole saw. Some of the prior reviews said that they were only able use the bits once before they were destroyed. Apparently, they did not water the cutting and burned up the drill bits. They need to read the Instructions FIRST - Sorry for their incompetence.

Work great cuts like butter. No cracks no over heating. Have not had a glass bit work so fast and so efficiently

Cheap is as cheap does
All I have to do is ask one question: What do you think you'll get at $1 per bit?I bought these for one use, one small project. I bought 4 glass vases of various sizes for terrariums. I needed to drill four holes, in glass, and that is all. The size I used worked as they were supposed to and I was happy. If I'd thrown them away at that point, I would have gotten my money's worth.I didn't throw them away and decided to use them to drill holes in ceramic wall tiles above the fireplace to hang a mantle piece. One hole, one bit, ruined. These work fine on glass, though I can't tell you how many holes you'll get. For that, I might have given 5 stars. But these are advertised to work on ceramic and porcelain. To that claim I have only one comment to make: HAHAHAHAHAH!Because false product claims are infuriating--it is like stealing--I'd give these 1 star, but they did work for glass and they are cheap, so 3 is what they get. But now you know.

Works great for cutting hole in jars
My wife wanted to cut holes in the bottoms of hard so she cutoff use them for putting plants. We tried a glass cutting drill but, but it kept breaking the jars. I saw iTunes like this referenced in a video and decided to give it a try. After drilling a hole in a piece of wood to hole the bit steady it was easy to drill holes. Three is no wobble when using a wooden template. Initially they cut through the glass quite quickly. After a little use the cutting slowed down a little, but not enough to make it unusable. The price is quite reasonable. All in all, I am quite pleased with this product.
