My old fan was starting to make an annoying vibration sound, as if someone was always outside with an electric weedwacker. The install was a pain, but that is not the fans fault, the way they installed the original pipes gave no flex. The actual fan was super easy to wire up with the preset connectors. Great replacement fan, dont wait until the unit stops working.

I replaced the Fantec fan with this fan. It is quieter and not hard to install. Be aware the housing of this fan is wider in diameter than the Fantec, though it fits well in the external cover. Make sure you have the basics down about electrical connectors, ie white wire connects to the blue wire in the fan and the black wire (hot) connects to the capacitor. The connections are very easy to accomplish, push the wire in the open slot and close down the lever.

Quiet, effective, reduced our radon levels from the 7-10 range to less than 2 in 24 hours.

My wife was quoted a $540 price by the Radon company that installed the original fan when we bought the house. I replaced the broken fan with this model (model replacement chart in item photos) with only a 99¢ store screwdriver. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Save your cash.

The same exact model as was already installed on my house before I purchased the home. The previous fan went out after exactly 5 years. It still ran, but the bearings had become so loud it sounded like a jet was landing in our neighborhood and was so loud you could hear it 6 houses away! Had to shut it off so it wouldn't catch fire or keep me and my neighbors up all night. The original markings and labels had all worn off due to weather, but I managed to find this fan and it was exactly the same model when I compared them. So, my original rubber vent pipe adaptors fit perfectly and the new fan went right into the same spot with exact same measurements. And this also ships with already installed electric wire clamps, which makes installation super simple. Very pleased, but just hope it last for more than the 5 year warranty this time!

With a little bit of work I was able to reduce my Radon from a high of 718 P/m3 to an average closer to 50. I followed many do it yourself videos and I installed this fan in my attic with 4 inch piping. Combined with Airthings I am able to keep a close eye on the values.
