Love it.
This was the answer to our problem. We bought a 1977 house with a small kitchen and a gigantic vent hood over the stove, which dominated the room and was right in my face while I was cooking. We replaced it with this, and instantly the kitchen looked bigger and brighter. It works great too!

Great Insert hood!
Building a custom wood range hood was a big project; starting with finding someone to make the wooden part, selecting an insert to use, modifying the wood hood for the insert, and installing everything.That said, this hood insert was great - extremely quiet, moves a lot of air, and sturdy. I also like mechanical switches vs membrane buttons or other failure-point with circuit board.
