LED bulb connections as shown in the picture broke off when I tried installing them into my Jeep. Also the lights stay on and dim even when turned off. I would suggest to go with a different brand. Save your money!

Why are the leds glowing when they are not on

I've been wanting to do an interior LED lighting upgrade for both my 2000 and 2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee (yes, I have two). To be clear, I ordered the wrong kit, this kit is for a 1999-2010 GRAND Cherokee, not the XJ, but I was figuring the XJ and Grand Cherokee tends to share a lot of DNA and it would probably work. For my XJ's the kit was missing a couple LED bulbs I needed. However, there were enough bulbs in one of these kits that BOTH Jeeps got map lights, rear cargo lights, and license plate lights, and one got the visor lights. I have a couple leftover for spares and I ordered some to fill in the few I'm missing (#561's for the front dome and some smaller BA15s bulbs for the footwell).The difference between the old bulbs and these new LED's is dramatic. These are much brighter white, and give a nice clean light. The old standard bulbs just look pathetic compared to these. Endpage includes a mice little pry tool to get the covers off, and the instructions for the Grand Cherokee include clear images of each bulb and where to install them. They noted a couple of these bulbs that have to be inserted the correct way -- if it doesn't work just pull it out, rotate it 180degrees and put it in the other way (I had this happen a couple times). Oh, and I also learned that Endpage makes a specific kit for the XJ -- that probably would have been easier for me. I would certainly recommend this kit if you have a Grand Cherokee.

So it took me over 3 hours to do it (only cause I was at work) but once I finished it fully they were hella bright. But they won't fully turn off they have a dim lighting after you fully lock the car. Idk how to fix it but its dim after locking the car. (2007 jeep grand Cherokee)

These LED replacement bulbs definitely made my dash brighter on my Grand Cherokee. The kit is pretty comprehensive, and it has almost everything you could want - almost. The lights mostly just plug in and begin working immediately, which is nice. Taking apart the dash was a massive hassle though, and I don't think I would go through this again if I didn't have to initially to replace burnt out bulbs. These LEDs better last several decades, because it's a pain to replace them.
