Bought this as I had to change out my red Valentine's decor since I redid my living room and painted my fireplace/Heatalator. When I saw the candy heart colors for this tree, I knew it would be perfect. Plus, I have miniature Easter and Christmas ornaments that I will be able to use as well.As far as construction, the tree was well made and doesn't look cheap. Having a timer is a plus. Only thing I'd prefer is that the lights not have a yellow glow but a soft white one.Highly recommend this.

I thought this little, faux birch tree would be a festive Valentine’s Day decoration with its cute, Conversation Hearts - style ornaments, and it certainly is! Since the ornaments aren’t the best looking, quality-wise, I only intend to use them until I replace all but only the nicest few with better, more-varied ornaments I find or create over the next several years. The reason I say they’re not the best looking is because their finishes are highly scuffed and marked with random speckles, giving away the reality of their cheap quality. They’re super lightweight, which is fine, but their hard plastic tops will definitely begin to crack and shatter in a few years, as that always happens with such tops, potentially because they’re stored in my incredibly hot, Florida attic during their off season. There are 4 heart ornaments of each shimmery, pastel color: pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Each color has its own, matching phrase, printed in red. For a somewhat tidier look, I decided to trim all the excess, shimmery thread frayed beyond the knot-end of each ornament’s hanging loop.The tree trunk is a lightweight plastic material wrapped in some kind of thin, plastic film that resembles birch bark patterning. The branches are partially wrapped in this as well. The branches arrive all folded up, so as you unfold them, you can position them however you’d like, as the insides of the branches are made of a completely shapeable wire that maintains whatever position you set. Each branch has a LED node at the end of the birch wrap, and from there, the malleable wire extends a bit further, leaving a convenient space on which to easily hang the ornaments.The bottom of the tree plugs into and then screws onto a plastic base. The base has an on/off switch with a timer setting in the middle. If you select the timer setting, the lights will turn on and eventually off every day, but I was unable to determine the exact pattern of how long they remain on and so forth, since I keep an unusual schedule. To initially engage the lights on the tree, you can either install 3 AA batteries into the battery compartment at the bottom of the base (no thanks), or you can plug the included, 38-inch-long power cable into a USB-A slot. Once switched on, the lights at the ends of each branch will light up to a steady hold of a standard, yellow-white color. There are no alternate flashing or color modes, which is fine by me.The box this set comes in is pretty good for off-season storage, as everything packs back inside reasonably easily (though I’ll likely store the ornaments separately rather than loosely inside, which is how they arrived), it’s easy to repeatedly open and close, and it has an adequate label showing a tiny photo of its contents. I do wish it felt a bit sturdier, though, and I wish its labeling were tidier, more stylish, and more clearly visible.

Such a fancy little tree! The branches are all flexible. The ornaments are lightweight and made well. The lights are a warm white. It's cozy in the evenings!
