Anchor Hocking Oven Basics 9.5-Inch Deep Pie Plate, Clear, 1 Piece

Anchor Hocking has LONG been my "go-to" brand for glass-ware, and this didn't disappoint. Have been using it for many months now and it's just as good as it was the day it arrived. What makes it all the better is that Anchor Hocking is Made In USA so I trust it's proper quality, with no "secret ingredients" or "treatments" (as I've found to be the case with "imported" glass-ware).Arrived carefully packed and ready to go (after the usual preliminary wash).Really IS a great buy! (I have TWO that I got through Amazon and BOTH are of equal value.)

The reviews that mentioned explosions were terrifying. But enough purchasers had good things to say that I decided to give these a try. So far so good! They are perfect for mini pies (Thanksgiving, I'm looking at you...) and individual pot pies.I've used these pie plates on regular and convect settings without issue. Instead of putting them on a cookie sheet to bake, I put metal cooling racks directly on the oven rack to keep the pie plates stable through cooking. Seems to be working for now. I will update if there's an explosion.

With only two of us in the home, as full-size pie or dessert will sit for days before it's eaten. These small pie plates are prefect for smaller portions. Highly recommended.

Perfect for what I needed

Love the size and weight of the dish. Super clear. It’s really a nice casserole dish. But I had bought it so it could be engraved for a wedding. Unfortunately the logo is large and positioned so that it’s hard to engrave. I have to purchase a different a different set to be engraved .I will keep it for myself Since it was such a great deal and really a nice dish.So if you’re looking for a nice cooking dish it’s wonderful. If it needs engraving look for something else.

ladyfingers fit very well into these. they are heavy, i'd say i like my pyrex of the same size "better" but these are fine.

They are just the right size for 2 people.

These are great - something I didn’t know I really needed! For Christmas Eve I made 4 small tourtières rather than just the usual one large one I make, there were only two of us what with the Omicron virus raging. We enjoyed one and the others went into the freezer - they worked really well. Now I will think of what other kind of pies I can make - great to have 6 too!

I don't know if these pie plates are designed for the freezer, however I make bunches of apple pies every fall, and I freeze them in Anchor Hocking dishes (with parchment paper on the bottom of the dish). Once the pies are frozen, I remove them from the dish and put them in freezer bags. I pop them back into these dishes when I want to bake one, and they work perfectly. I've been freezing pies this way for years, and never have had an Anchor Hocking dish break.

I’m very satisfied with the size of these pie plates. I can make an apple pie to take to my husband in a care home and he’s able to eat it while it’s still fresh (within a couple of days). For people living by themselves, it’s great for cream pies. You don’t have to stuff yourself to avoid having to throw out half a pie.Chicken pot pies can be made in individual sizes or, if you are overly generous with pie fillings like I am, it will suffice for two meals.

Yep. They fit in the Instant Pot. I figure they'll stack easily, too. They will do everything eveyone is saying but the only thing I have used them for so far is to cook 6 - 10 oz hamburger patties and froze the patties in baggies. I've been taking them out, one at a time to use for meals. The 10 oz size is perfect for a 3 person meal. I break them into bite size pieces and make bean chilies, cheeseburger hamburger helper, deconstructed cabbage rolls, etc. Since they are Pyrex they can be used in the Instant Pot with both the stainless steel inner pot and the non-stick inner pot (won't damage the non-stick coating) , the oven and are also the perfect size for my countertop oven.

I bought the mini pie dishes for my dog and cats food. It's so hard to find a pet product that is guaranteed lead, cadmium and bpa free. These are a perfect size and comfortably fit a full can of dog food. No more worrying about unwanted chemicals in their dishes! Great price too!
