I really liked using a certain stain fighter detergent until it was discontinued and became hard to find/too expensive when you did find it (and then usually could only buy through a 3rd party seller). I have tried all kinds of detergents in the meantime, but knew my search was finally over after checking out my husbands white socks after the first use of this Tide Ultra Oxi White and Bright detergent. Wow, from dingy, dirty to clean, clean, WHITE socks! The rest of the load also looked great, even my kitchen dish towels that had different food stains from sopping up all kinds of messes throughout the week. This is the only detergent I will be buying - now I just hope that it never gets discontinued!

Tide just really gets things noticeably cleaner than most detergents. The whitening in this one is noticeable in all of my white and light clothing. Even though it says you can I do not use it on my dark/black clothing.
