needed this for the door on 100+ year old house that had been drilled several times for different locks. it looks great and is sturdy enough to hold up to almost anything. easy to install and formed to take the parts of a lock, unlock most similar products. would highly recommend.

Gets the job done … mostly
Make sure you’ve got enough clearance. The recess for the latch needs to be deeper - or not at all. The latch sticks out farther than the recess compensates for, so either make it deeper or don’t recess is so the latch can be mounted on the inside of the plate. With some wrestling, it got the job done, but there will be installs where it won’t.

I informed Amazon to correct the error, but after 2 weeks, it is still the same. I had to return my purchase due to this error. Most interior doors are 1-3/8. This won't fit.

Measure your door and pay attention to the advertised sizes!
I had to re-purchase this item TWICE as I failed to measure my door AND read the sizing specifications. I now have a few choices for the next door I want to install one of these on. Well, you know what they say, 'third times the charm' and is was. This is a good quality product that fit the door with a minimal amount of fitting, ONCE I bought the right one. All my fault.I think this is the one I finally got right. I have 5 more for next time.
