The Guitarist's Chord Book: Over 900 Guitar Chord Diagrams with Photos

It's just a big book of pictures of different chord shapes you can do, what more could you want? If you're in a rut having one of these on hand is great for trying new things. I don't think you need to know theory to enjoy this book, but knowing some basic stuff like circle of fifths combined with this book will have you making neat chord progressions in no time

I've found The Guitarist's Chord Book to be extremely helpful. It's well organized, which makes it very easy to find chords, and the photos are helpful in seeing how to play each chord. I also really like the Moveable Chord section; once you learn the shapes and have a basic understanding of the notes on the guitar neck, you can play a host of different chords up and down the neck. I've owned several chord books over the years, but The Guitarist's Chord Book is the best by far.

What do you say, is a ton of pictures of guitar chords. It's not rocket science...

Book is well put and is very easy to read and learn. Got for my husband as a great refresher for his guitar chords. He loves it!

I'm just learning guitar so I've no idea what this book 'should' be but my guy that's kinda teaching me to play thinks this book is amazing and actually recommended it to me. It's help me play the 3 chords I can so I'm happy enough. I'm a lazy, non-reading words person though so I just wish there were more words on the actual chord pages. I honestly didn't read the intro pages out of habit (I grew up in the weekly school book report era, ion do forewards or intros) which would probably be helpful but I'll be sad if it's not so I can chance it.

I have two of these books. The one that I'm reviewing (chords) and the scale book. These are good books and fairly priced, the problem comes from the fact that they are print-to-order and the quality varies considerably on the location doing the printing. The scale book was printed in Las Vegas and is excellent quality with crisp, black text. This book was printed in Monee, IL and the text is noticeably fainter, like off a copier with the toner running out. The images are pixelated and there are print quality issues.I'm not going to send it back because I'd rather have it than spend my time scouring the interwebs to put this together, but I wish there was a way to pick the print house because there is a definite quality difference between sites.

It's a very good, well planned out book! All the chords are in alphabetical order so you can find the exact chord you need instantly. The photo provided with each chord is very clear and shows how to play the chord properly, should you struggle with some. Barre chords are the ones I find tricky and the pictures really do help. Within seconds of opening the book I found loads of chords I had never seen before, nor would I have ever thought to try. I'd say it's suitable for everyone, from beginners, to professionals. The book stays open without needing support e.g. paperweights, clips etc... Which is bonus, as this was a slight concern when purchasing. 5/5!
