Robertson's Real Beef Jerky (8 Oz)

When I was a kid we would buy a single piece of jerky from a jar behind the counter at the corner store. For us, it was a major purchase, costing a dollar, for which you could in those days get a whole bag of "penny candy" and a Coke. Like that jerky, Robertson's is thin, dry, and tastes like dried beef and wood smoke. That's a good thing, by the way, in a world where "jerky" has come to mean cloyingly sweet, soft, gummy, and flavored like anything except meat. Unlike many attempts to make "old fashioned" jerky, This is neither too salty nor too spicy. As I mentioned, it tastes like dry beef, which is what I want. My only concern is that, just like when I was a kid, this is not an inexpensive product, and you pay a premium for authenticity.

I have loved this jerky for years. I finally started making my own because this one, especially after shipping is so expensive. If you love dry peppery jerky like my friends grandfather made who would bring it back from Arizona after butchering the cow themselves then this is the closest I have ever found to it. I however can’t justify the price unless I’m having a real hankering for it.

I have tried a lot of Beef Jerky and I like all types but this is my favorite. Most "real" beef Jerkys taste like well done steak this one actually tastes like beef jerky. This is what the cowboys would of had. Very dry and hard to chew and lightly seasoned. Have to chew for a while to get the flavor going. Very good!

I've been buying a ton of jerky on Amazon trying to find the best brand and after going through about 7 or so of the more obscure traditional jerky vendors I found Robertson's "real" beef jerky.It's currently at the top of my list with no other even coming close. I definitely recommend.

I was a little disturbed when I opened the box to find that the lid had come off during shipping and the jar was completely open. But there weren't too many crumbs in the box, and I didn't see any bugs, so I ate it and it was delicious. I like beef jerky dry and tough, not the rubbery jack links that tastes totally fake. This is definitely the real deal, pretty tough, but far better than any store- or online-bought jerky I've tried. Just wish the lid had been on 👍🏻

This beef jerky has spoiled me for all other beef jerkies. It is made the way jerky should be - salt, pepper, smoke, meat. That's it. Many a friend and coworker has become hooked on this jerky because of me. If you're not lucky enough to be able to drive to Marietta, OK***, you need to buy this however you can! (***My friend is and purposely plans road trips around buying this jerky!)

This is the exact jerky I’ve been searching for. Great flavor and it’s dry and is quite a bit for the price. It still didn’t last me long. Shipping was fast and I encountered zero issues with any part of the process.

Good jerky. wish it was a little bit thicker, but they make it super dry and dont dump a ton of overpowering flavors. if you want a meat taste, dry, chewy jerky this is for you. your jaw will hurt after eating some of this!
