Must have for training!
I've been using the Garmin Premium Heart Rate Chest Strap for a few weeks now, and I'm blown away by its accuracy and comfort. The real-time heart rate data transmission via Bluetooth and ANT+ has taken my training sessions to the next level. With a battery life that's promised to last around 3.5 years, it's clear this strap is built to last. It's incredibly comfortable to wear, thanks to the soft material and adjustable strap, making long workout sessions a breeze. Plus, it seamlessly connects with all my Garmin devices as well as online training apps, ensuring I'm always on top of my fitness game. The black color is sleek and unobtrusive, and the compact packaging was a nice touch. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just starting out, this heart rate chest strap is a must-have for anyone serious about their health and fitness goals. Absolutely recommend!

Good quality
As with all Garmin products, nothing lasts forever and these are just the same.Still have the occasional issue but i like the BLE connection to allow me to connect with my computer when using Zwift or Garmins own riding program.Nice that they finally provide a screwdriver in the pack, thats a really nice touch.

Great gift for the runner in your life!
Gave this to my husband and he uses it almost daily for his runs. He loves being able to track his heart rate and stats. Easy to wash the sweat off and dries quickly. Comfortable to wear.

Works very well
Took a bit of fiddling to get it connected to my android but once the connection was established the first time, it now works like a charm. Also, my very old Android phone is rather temperamental with Bluetooth devices now, but this heart rate monitor still manages to work well. As an example, I use Strava for my multi hour mountain trips. During which, I may pause recording. If later in when I restart it I find the connection was lost (almost certainly issue on my phone side), it is a matter of switching Bluetooth off and on on my phone and that's it. My previous HR monitor wasn't as quick in re-establishing connection.Recommended.

Does not last long
Item only 12 months old with intermittent use and is already giving my wildly inaccurate heart rate numbers. This is my 4th one and each one barely lasts a year

Before I was using a arm band heart monitor but it was a different make and it wasn't accurate so I bought this one. The Garmin heart rate goes around my chest and it collects the data perfectly what it says. Fantastic kit

What you need to know about this product
I'm presently on my third one of these. Here's what I've learnt...1. Using 10 hours a week, they last about 3 or 4 years.2. The strap is more likely to fail than the transmitter pod. Replacement Garmin straps are a silly (high) price, but you can now get alternative cheap versions online (Amazon) which seem to work OK.3. Using 10 hours a week, the battery lasts about 3 years.4. If it gives odd results, make sure you wet the strap sensor pads, or better still use electrolyte gel.5. The supplied instructions are very minimal. Proper help is available online.6. Getting it to initially link with a Garmin Edge seems unpredictable. Sometimes it just happens (hooray!), but sometimes you have to do it manually. Lack of instructions really doesn't help here! Once done it works fine. So, I've taken a star off because of consistent strap failures and silly replacement cost. Also taken a star off because of the poor instructions.
