Panasonic Multi-Speed Module with Time Delay for WhisperGreen Select Exhaust Fan, FV-VS15VK1

When CFM is set to 0, you can adjust the run time of the fan. My setup is the fan comes on with moisture using Condensation Sensor Module, FV-CSVK1. If I want to run the fan manually, I turn the wall toggle switch on/off/on and the fan will run per the preset of this module. If I move CFM off of 0, then the fan runs continuously at the preset fan speed for the duration of the timer. You can add a motion module too.

There are 3 modules available for certain Panasonic fans - humidity, motion and this one. This one allows you to have one speed for showers and a lower one for continuous ventilation. We got an Airthings monitor that measures Radon, PM2.5, CO2, VOC, humidity and PM1. Our CO2 was high and this module fixed that. Beware that the power has to go directly to the fan so it can ventilate continuously and you still need a signaling switch on the wall, the humidity module or the motion module to trigger the faster speed. If you want the light option, you will need a separate switch for it.

Works fine for me. Contrary to some of the other things I’ve read here, here’s my two cents. Zero means zero. If your fan is wired through the blue signal wires at the wall switch then with the “CFM” switch set to “0”, the fan will turn off and on with the wall switch or use any of the other “CFM” settings for the amount of air you need for the continuous run. Next, the “Time” switch determines how long fan runs after you turn off switch. If “CFM” is set to “O” it turns right off. If “CFM” is set to anything else, after the “Time” setting expires fan returns to the continuous run setting. Okay, my intent was to explain this once and for all but having reread this I can see maybe I have muddled the water even more. Just keep fiddling with it, you’ll figure it out.

Delayed fan off helps ensure the bathroom & towels dry the way they need to without needing to remember to turn the fan off later. I won't get another bath fan without that functionality.

Easy to install, Easy to setup. Give the most bang for the money spent, it makes your basement bathroom into a continuously ventilated bathroom, which is essential for all the built up moisture and prevent mold buildup.

Work as intended, although it would have been nice if the lowest speed could be reduced. On the expensive side since you have to buy it before you can add any of the other functions. Adjustable speed should have been included in the basic PMDC motor controller.

The timer works perfectly.

My Apt complex installed Panasonic Vent fans in all our bathrooms. Without this control module, the thing ran full speed almost all the time. For the square footage, this was overkill. Adding this module allows finer fan control so the thing isn't running full steam when not needed. Only deducting a star since it seems like the fan itself should be more useful without adding another module.
