This monkey is exactly what I expected from the product description and other reviews. It's a loud, laughing animal that rolls all over. My 4 kids (ages 4 - 10) love it, as do my adult siblings and 65 year old dad. It's just entertaining and funny. It laughs for about 30 seconds and then turns off until you turn it on again. It's isn't a soft, huggable stuffed animal as the battery pack takes up much of the body but it's very durable -- we've had him roll off the kitchen table (accidentally!) a few times and he just keeps going and going. We find it entertaining and funny, but if you are easily irritated, this may not be the toy for you.

You cannot help but smile when watching this little guy rolling around and laughing! The laugh is SO FUNNY and it just makes YOU start to laugh!I bought this as a Christmas present for an 11 year old girl and she absolutely LOVED it. She was taking it everywhere she went all day long to show everybody.He is so cute and watching him rolling around and laughing will put anybody in a good mood!This present was definitely a big hit this year. I also bought her a monkey hat and a monkey puppet, but she seemed to love this little guy the most.

Sent this to a friend who has been dealing with a difficult situation and could use something to make her laugh. First saw this item outside a store and every time I passed by, it made me smile. Hopefully, it will do the same for her.

I saw one in a store once- and remember laughing along with it. Such a cute toy. This is not that toy. This is the evil version of that toy. A cheap knockoff? Probably. Because its laugh is very loud, and creepy sounding. (Think: evil clown.) It is not cute at all and at no point did anyone find the toy endearing with the sound it made. The dog ran for the hills. And the kid went shortly after. He hid behind my legs and cried. (He was about a year when introduced. Still hates it at 15 months). Buy at your own risk. It does what it says it will, but even for the $7 I paid (which should have clued me in it was a cheap knockoff) it was not worth it.

This package arrived in the worst shape. The toy was supposed to be held down by zip ties, and they were clearly cut, the box was all ripped up... it looked like someone bought this, took the toy out, decided they didn't like it, returned it to the box, put the box in a cluttered closet full over tumbling piles of other mess, jammed stuff on top of the box for a few years, decided to clean, found the toy and then returned it. That was how I received it. If it was a gift for anyone but my own 2-year old I would have sent it back.The toy itself.... it's ok. It laughs at everything until you shut it off. It rolls around and laughs, and it's cute at first, fast forward a few hours and it's irritating, and everything sets it off. The dog sneezes-monkey goes off, your cat blinks-monkey goes off, you set glass down in same room as monkey-monkey goes off. It'll make you nuts. I think our daughter even got annoyed with it always making noise.

I love to hear people laughing when they see this toy operating! I sent one with my daughter-in-law to her parents who live in Spain. It's the best gift I've ever found for them. They like to laugh, and she says they laughed themselves to tears, then had to show it everyone they knew. Of course the novelty wears off, but then I put it away and save it for the next Christmas or family reunion and everyone laughs again. Adorable!

I've bought quite a few of these. We keep one around for those times when you just need a laugh. No one can resist laughing when this monkey starts his thing. I also gave several away to adults and kids alike. They all love them. I even took one to the Therapy room at the YMCA where I work out. When someone is having a bad day, they throw the monkey on the floor and the mood immediately lightens up!

One of my daughters got this as a Christmas present from her grandmother, and I decided I needed to buy one for a friend that loves monkeys. In fact, adults may find it more amusing than children do; the hysterical laughter from the toy is pretty infectious, and you'll soon find yourself smiling, chuckling, and laughing along with it. Other reviewers have commented on the "used" appearance of the toy since it comes tied in the package with a zip tie and then wrapped in a plastic bag. Mine came the same way, but keep in mind that if purchased from a store there's not even any plastic, just the zip tie, and this makes the product much easier to remove from the packaging than other toys these days.
