my kindergartener was struggling with rhyming and these helped so much! the different ways to use them helped make them not boring. my kid now loves to say the rhymes just for fun!

These are great cards to help kids learn about rhyming. Depending on the age of the child, they may or may not be able to read all the words, but they help to get the idea of rhyming across. My 4 y.o. kept thinking that rhyming had to do with words that started with the same letter, and I couldn't convince her otherwise. But these cards clearly make the rhyming words evident: "I think rice with spice is nice" and "Let's take a cake to the lake" are examples in addition to that on the box cover. The child also has to put the three cards that make up the sentence together. Not difficult, but it does bring in a puzzle element to the exercise. My daughter really enjoys these and has wanted to work on them everyday since we got them. The biggest challenge is for me to keep her from spreading them all over the house, but we are good so far.

Colorful, easy for little beginners. Depending on your little one's academic knowledge, this is better suited for end of K into 1/2 year of 1st grade as the words are harder to understand the deeper you go into the card deck. Overall my 5 almost 6 yr old had a hard time with the words towards the end of the deck but mastered it within a week.

I have been teaching my granddaughter to read, using flash cards for sight words. Cleaning one day, the cards got thrown out. I ordered these and a couple more set of sight words. They are all good, but this set is great! Each card has a word on back and it goes with two other cards. Then you turn them over and put the pictures in the correct order and read the sentence using the new words. My granddaughter loves the game we play mixing the cards up and learning new words!

These cards are worth so much more then they sell for. Wow is a great way to express my feelings. The children can't seem to get enough of them. The picture has such an excited mood to them. They are such a good teaching tool. When putting these cards together in the puzzle form, not only do they rhyme, they can be used to express capitalizing the letter at the beginning of the sentence as well placing a period at the end. Thus forming the perfect puzzle!
