Q: Is the face of the hood covered or open? Looks like both in the pictures?

It's open, like a traditional hood.

Q: If I am 5'7" tall and want the cape to go to mid-calf, what size should I get? Does the measurement include the hood?

After I was done with the Cape I gave it to somebody else so I don’t have it here to measure but I am 5’4” tall and the Cape for me definitely drag on the ground. If you are 57 I think that it will still be too long for mid calf because when I wore it there is easily 2 inches still on the ground if not more. Honestly I think they’re measuring from where you would tie the Cape around you a little lower than your chin so they’re measuring like from the shoulder down I don’t think it would include the hood. Just based on how long it was for me I’m going to say it wasn’t the hood and the measurement. But I wonder if you could contact the company who is actually selling it and they could give you more information but that’s all I got for you I hope that I helped you even a little. It’s definitely a full length cape I think if you were to wear it at 5’7” it would probably hit just above your ankle I’m thinking

Yes, I’m 5’3” & I wear a size 12. It’ll definitely go around you

My husband is 6'4" and the XL worked for him.
