It Really Does Work
This works great! I put 1 on the tv remote because it was being misplaced 😀! I had to use it recently and it worked. The sound is loud enough that you can hear it. I put one on my husband’s keys because he kept “misplacing “ them. Already had to use it to locate them.

This Key-Finder is The Best 8-Item Locator!
Ability to track 8 items is a must. Inside we use it for TV remotes, keys for office doors and closets, eyeglasses, the overhead fan/light, and even the garage remote - we use every button, and it’s loud. Our previous 8-button tracker started losing function one button at a time, so we bought this Keyfinder. We each have a separate 4-button finder for outdoor items. I carry that small receiver in my purse for car keys, sunglasses, cell phone, and night time glasses. My con with this Keyfinder 8 Item package is that the receiver is very small for 8 buttons. Since we use it for so many items we look for it often and it’s not so easy to find. The size also makes it difficult to see those small letters. The PRO is that the Keyfinder works perfectly and can be heard even when stuck under blankets or between cushions. And when I bought it a couple of months ago, it was the only 8 receiver set I could find anywhere!I’m very happy with this purchase and recommend it highly.

I like.
I only received today and have only tested one receiver and the transmitter. No longitudinal information about when the device fails which happens all electronics eventually.1. Arrives with 8 receivers, 8 CR2032 batteries for the receiver, 1 transmitter, 8 key rings, instructions, and a little packet (did not open so do not know the count) of two sided sticky things for attaching if no key hole.2. The instructions are very simple. Put two AAA batteries (you must provide) into the transmitter as you would for any other AAA device (look at where spring is), put a CR2032 battery in each receiver you are about to use (I am only using one at the moment) and press the appropriate button. There are lots of reviews talking about the device dying at about a year, not just the batteries but the receivers themselves. I should have several years supply.3. I did have a problem putting the CR2032 battery into the receiver. It does not just pop in. I took several minutes trying to get the battery to sit low enough so I could put the door back on.4. I saw several comments about the device not working if under a lot of clothes or blocked. I have tested this. I put under a wadded up comforter, the volume was low but I heard it but low in volume. I put inside my solid wood (particle board), back behind several other electronic devices. With the desk draw open, I heard it clearly. With the desk drawer closed, I had to be about 12 inches from the door to be sure I heard and not imagined due to tinnitus (constant buzz) and also other hearing damage from 20 years working in/around computer rooms and especially riding motorcycles at speeds generating more noise than a 747 engine. I expect others will hear easier. The wood desk and all the other electronics and batteries piled around and above it DID NOT stop it from beeping.4. I can not test range. My house is not big and has lots of places the sound would be redirected/blocked becoming more muffled with each turn. The beeping only lasts about 3 seconds. Outside the traffic and other world noise would drown it out. This testing therefore would require two people, one with the transmitter to initiate beeping and another with the device to hear it. I live alone.4. I will probably add to my key chain but that will require I walk around with the transmitter to cause the assigned receiver to beep and again getting in the CR2032 I find difficult. My remote should never be more than 10 feet from where I am sitting at this moment.

somewhat of a flawed design
ok it is very good but has short range (lets face it thats a good thing for a key finder)however in order to locate the key finder you have to use the emote provided and my question is, what happens if you lose the remote? the product comes with key rings, stickers for labeling, remotes (obviously) and main remote it also provides batteries for each remote and the screwdriver to unscrew it, so it all depends on if your willing to duct tape the remote to an undisclosed location in your house and hope the duct tape hold so that way you dont lose it, past that though pretty decent product

Love this affordable key finder!
I've had a number of key finders, and they all typically seem to not last very long. Either the plastic part that holds the metal ring attached to your keyring wears out, or the plastic piece holding the batteries in place doesn't last, or they loose their ability to function in some way or another. This key finder is different. It's built better than others I have owned, and it always works like a charm when I lose my keys. The tags are small enough to attach to your key ring and not feel bulky when in your pocket. The sound is loud enough to find your keys quickly, even so when they might be underneath a heavy pillow. Battery life seems to be long lasting. And the price is the best part about this product. I remember paying well over a couple hundred bucks for something like this from the Sharper Image years ago, and that thing didn't work when you needed it most. This key finder is a must have if you tend to misplace your keys.
