Superb Lather. Outstanding Cushioning. Great Scent. Nothing Wrong Here.
The King of the Castle now rules my morning shave. When I first opened it, I caught a whiff of the mild, citrus odor. The odor is not overpowering and won't stay with you after the shave. Next, I stuck my finger into the tub and scooped out a small bit (just a little bigger than a pencil eraser). The soap is really more of a cream. It's not at all hard like lots of soap. To make it last a long, long time and deliver lots of lather every time, I take that small finger scoop and drop it in a small, warm bowl with smooth, steep sides. Then I go to work with my pre-soaked brush. The King of the Castle needs a bit more water to work its magic. It delivers abundant lather. And that lather is cushiony, thick, and slick.. Indeed, once you complete your shave, you will find there is cream to spare. I am a 2 or 3 pass shaver and there is still a lot of fluffy goodness left in the bowl at the end.Stacking it up against, other products, it's noticeably superior to Proraso Shaving Soap in a Bowl, Moisturizing and Nourishing, 5.2 oz (150 ml), which is a good product in it own right. But the KOC smells better and makes a richer lather. I also prefer it to Taylor of Old Bond Street Mr. Taylor's Shaving Cream,5.3-Ounce, which, again is a good product but it's no match for KOC. The only shaving soaps that are as good are other RazoRock products. For instance, I love the RazoRock XXX Artisan Shaving Soap, 125 ML (4.2 Oz), although, the scent is not for everyone. Now, at first, I was hesitant to order this soap for one reason: my skin is sensitive to citrus. Happily the KOC has not reacted with my epidermis.Bottom line: RazoRock King of the Castle is an excellent shaving (soft) soap. You can't go wrong ordering it. One thing, when I first began my wet shaving journey, I used to swirl the brush right in the plastic tub wherein the product is stored. That worked OK for lathering but resulted in much wastage of precious product. Don't do it. Put a small amount in a bowl. Even the hard soaps work well if you scrape a piece off and drop it in a bowl.

RazoRock: good value in a sub $11 shaving soap.
I like just about all of the RazoRock Artisan line, and KoC is no exception They lather readilly and quickly. They''ve got good 'glide' for shaving (even with a straight razor). Good scents. My only 'reservation' on the line is that as a very soft shaving cream, they don't tend to last too long. But they beat the heck out of the value-proposition for the above $11 lines. Of course nothing is going to outlast a hard-cut soap like Tabac for longevity. But I don't want to use Tabac every day! Variety is the spice of life! :P

Didn't work out well for my skin, unfortunately
I suffer from skin that gets ingrown hairs easily. I used this twice and had so many ingrowns on my chin I had to discontinue use. It lathers pretty easily, and doesn't use much product. But I found it pretty drying after rinsing it off. The smell isn't bad, kind of like fruity pebbles and limes. I wanted to like it, but it's not good for my skin.

I was hoping this would be a better lime smell
I was hoping this would be a better lime smell. It smells like "sweet tarts" and I pick up lemon as much as lime. Having said that the smell is pleasant and performance is overall good as razorock products are. But if you are looking for a pure lime scent I wouldn't get this.

RazorRock. Great Buy!
I have to admit this is my first time trying a RazoRock soap and what a great surprise. I've used a lot of other artisan soaps and this is the cream of the crop. The scent is very pleasing, I would describe it as a... warm lime. Even my wife really enjoyed the scent, she said it reminds her of the fresh scent cologne. It's a soft Italian style soap made in Italy, which makes it really easy to load a brush with.A great thing about this soap is how easy it churns up into a thick silky slick lather. It really makes the razor glide across my face with the feeling of no resistance. But the best thing about this soap is how it makes my face feel after the shave. Not only is my face baby-butt smooth, but it is sooo soft. It was quite shocking how soft this soap made my skin. This leads me to the ingredients of this soap. The benefits of RazoRock King are many and it is used for absorbing excess oil from skin, removes scars, improves skin complexion, treats acne, increases skin elasticity. I can't recommend it enough, buy it now!

Nice Soap!
This stuff smells great. Not very strong but, its exhilerating and wakes you up. Slickness is about a 7 out of 10. This stuff lathers like crazy!! The one negative thing I did notice, is that it dries out quickly and needs to be re-lubricated often. All in all, for the price, this stuff is awesome. Top of my rotation.

But what a fantastic lime it is
In my opinion, the absolute King of Razorock soaps. The scent is not as complex as many of their offerings: it's just lime. But what a fantastic lime it is, wonderfully fresh and zesty. Performance is, for me, just as good as it gets. I own several Razorock soaps, and they're all great, but those with argan oil are just a notch above. They lather a bit easier, and have a fantastic feel to them. If Razorock made only argan oil soaps, I'd be totally fine. On the other hand, if they ever discontinue argan oil soaps, there's going to be some serious hoarding going on.
