Very happy with this chair.
Pros1. Comfy. Not to hard, Not to soft. 21.5 inches from arm pad to arm pad.2.It is a solid chair. The base is metal under the plastic covers, the arms are metal and the mechanism is solid.3.It is inexpensive. I couldn't find anything like it close to this price.Cons1.It is a little bit hard to put together. The allen wrench supplied with it is almost up to the task. I'd guess that you could make it work. I used my own tools. And it is not light. You might need two people for this.2.The packaging was not great. It was easy to remove from the box, but the package with the screws and things had come open.3. The plastic base cover was slightly dented. This could have been included in 2. Not a big deal to me.4.It seems a little high. Idk, maybe because the old one was lower. On the other hand, my feet set flat on the floor. Kinda' nice. All in all, now that I have it together and where it goes, I am very happy with the chair.I am 6' 5" and about 300 lbs.

Nice chair but tough assembly.
This is a nice, sturdy chair, designed for larger folk. It has an adjustable spring loaded recline, and pneumatic height adjustment. With that comes the fact that it is heavy, 60lbs. The structural parts are steel, not aluminum. I inadvertently ordered two of them—my bad, but easy to do when transferring items from the wish list while being incessantly interrupted by sales calls. I liked the first one well enough, I didn’t return the second one (that arrived four days later!?)Just a reminder for you older folks—this is heavy. In both chairs the package containing the small parts had broken open and the parts were loose in the large (heavy) carton. Both cartons had suffered some shipping damage, no doubt due to UPS not being well versed in handling heavy packages. All my parts were accounted for, and fortunately so were all the chair parts. But be prepared to make a trip to the hardware store. The bolts, in various lengths, are all Metric, #6 hex drive. And the ends are coated with a thread locker solution—A nice touch. Check the parts list against the parts found in the carton.Assembly was almost straightforward – only needed to refer to the instructions/parts list once. Common sense gets you through the rest. One tip—put the wheels on last or the chair keeps scooting away from you during assembly. One problem turned up. Trying to insert a bolt into the threaded, captive nut holding an arm to the back, I discovered the nut was either not threaded or threaded incorrectly. It is hard to get the bolts started by hand (threadlocker) so it could have been my fault (but I doubt that—this is not my first assembly.) Anyhow a trip to my tool room to retrieve a #6 metric tap (threader) and that was that. Then on the second chair, the same thing happened, same nut. Not only not threaded correctly, but misaligned as well. Fortunately I had purchased extra #6 bolts for the first chair. After about an hour of rethreading and alignment I was able to finish assembly. Another tip: make sure the bolts will go into the nuts BEFORE you assemble the chair.Assembly completed! (Did I mention this chair is heavy?) Perhaps in a year or so, I will further comment on the chairs. I'd give this chair a 5, if it weren't for the assembly problems.

Great chair for 6'4" 250lbs!
I'm 6'4" 250lbs and find this chair PERFECTLY sized for me. Very comfortable and supportive in all the right spots. It had all the needed hardware and went together with no problems. The materials and construction are heavy duty and I have no doubt they will last many years. Only time will tell on the the leather though since it looks nice now, but is obviously not top grain. The base is steel with plastic trim caps on top. The arms are also steel and have a very solid feel with no side to side flex. The seat depth is perfect for my 6'4" frame and supports my legs comfortably without cutting circulation to my lower legs. At the lowest height, the chair is perfect for me and my feet sit flat on the floor. any higher and they are dangling. IMO this chair should be marketed as "Tall" and not "Big and Tall". Even though the chair is rated up to 500lbs and would probably support that, I can't imagine anyone heavier than 320lbs or shorter than 6'2" would find this chair a good fit. However if you are 6'2"-6'8" under 320lbs, I think you will love it like I do.

A VERY expensive chair that lasted about 5 years
There's no denying that this chair is sturdy. It holds up to 500lb for a while (I am a guy who fluctuated between 430 and 470) but lost its cushion fairly quickly a little bit after the 2-year mark. Here we are in the 3rd month after its 5th year and I just lost the pneumatic piston under it. The cushion has been like sitting on a piece of wood panel for the longest time, the armrests are peeled and broken with cushion coming off the sides This chair has not been comfortable for more than half the time I've had it.The chair became loose once and I tightened it. The base is pretty sturdy and held up pretty nicely. The casters NEVER broke so points for that. The arms themselves are metal construction so those will hold on nicely for many years but the bolts are stripped easily - not on par with the sturdy chair construction they claimed... and the fabric & cushion parts leave a LOT to be desired.Overall, I WOULD ONLY recommend this chair - and buy another one myself - if this chair was CHEAPER, maybe if it was priced around $150 with shipping included. However, I will not recommend this chair for the current price of over three hundred and fifty dollars and you can't even get free shipping for it.
