LG AKC73249303 Genuine OEM Ice Bucket Assembly (White) for LG Refrigerators

I was apprehensive trying to replace the ice maker bucket on a refrigerator that was in the house we purchased 3 years ago. I tried to shop locally but could not find it in my town. One dealer found the part number, but could not guarantee that it would fit, and returns would be on me plus the cost was almost twice as much as the item I found on Amazon. The part arrived today, and the part number was one digit off. Not to worry the part that I received had a feature that the original did not. I am happy to recommend this part.The part arrived earlier than expected and the shipping container could have survived a parachute drop,Very good job to all.Update: It has been almost a month since my review on this item. I had an intermittent problem with the unit the first few days. The production of ice was not consistent, (skip forward) after some investigations I noticed that the new bin was leaning forward and not tripping a switch or sensor or whatever to let the ice maker know there was a bin in place to catch the ice. With the access door open I could press against the bin, and it would rock back slightly. My solution was to take a couple of felt floor protectors for the bottom of chair legs and stick them on the inside of the access door adjacent to the top outside area of the bin causing the door to move the bin further into its resting area and tripping the sensor. This has been working for almost three weeks. It sure is nice having ice again.

Have a LG LFX25974ST and the plastic gear on the first ice bucket stripped. This bucket is a little smaller but has an additional "auger" to break up the ice on the top as well as reinforcements on the main drive gear. Works good and hopefully will last longer. The original one worked for about 7 years so I guess that was not to bad.

This was a perfect fit and replacement for our LG ice maker bin. For reference, our refrigerator model is LFX25974ST.

Fits and works as it should.

Fits like it should but has a slightly smaller capacity than the old one due to the internal stirrer. That said, the ice does not get crunched as much during dispensing. The cubes are more whole with this product than with the old one.

Product arrived at 8:30 this morning via 2-day USPS, which was much sooner than expected. Perfect drop-in replacement. We now have ice again!

Item is too small. It did not fit or activate ice maker. After I installed this item, the icemaker stopped working. I thought it was a problem with the icemaker therefore I called the repairman. He claimed he discovered a leak therefore he charged me to repair it. After we installed this new ice bucket, a day later still no ice. I decided to put the old worn out ice bucket back in. A few minutes later ice I heard ice being produced. I took the old ice bucket out and compared it to the new one. They looked very similar, but I noticed that old ice bucket was an half inch larger than the new bucket. So much money wasted.

Perfect replacement for my LG LFX28978ST, prior one did not have the extra piece to breakup the ice.
