Skip these lights
These are clearly better than the factory lights they replaced. but not a lot better. While they tout "LED" prominently, only the running lights are LED. To be fair this was in the fine print, but they became overpriced without the actual headlights being LED.Installation was fairly simple. Other reviews told me that the fiberglass mounting had to be modified to provide clearance, and it did. There is no going back to the factory style. The biggest issue I have with them is adjusting the beams. Both high and low beams have adjusting screws. However, you cannot access them without removing the entire assembly.I am keeping them as I modified the mounts and they are better than what I had. But, I would not buy them again.

poor quality acrylic lens
I loved how they look. There is some clearanceing of the shroud behind the headlight assembly for it to clear, but its not a problem if you have a rotary tool or cutoff tool. Now to the problem the projection style headlight puts out to much heat for the acrylic they use, after a few months its starts to make little black spots in front of the projectors then it starts to spread and melt the lens in front of the lights. when i called spyder auto's customer service they said that since amazons return policy is 30 days that they cant help me, and that spyder auto has a 1 year return policy but it starts for products bought after march 1st 2015.all in all they look good just not worth it, in seven months they're already pretty bad and i will have to replace them before they even last a year and if the truck was my daily driver i would be surprised if they lasted six months.

Not a slam dunk install…
For anyone else with a 2001 f250- be warned this product is not an easy install for anyone not willing to grind out some fiberglass to make it fit. The overall dimensions from the outside are perfect, however the depth and shape of these headlights requires you to use a dremel or other grinder to remove some material from behind the old headlights to get them to fit. Once I realized this and committed to the fiberglass removal it all ended up working out ok. For anyone looking for a straight plug and play swap this is NOT the solution for you. If you’re willing and able to do some material removal they WILL fit and work just fine.

Know what you are up against
These lights do not come with any instructions for installation. You need a dremel or some other small cutting tool to cut out the fiberglass behind stock lights. Once you install these lights, they are the last lights you will ever be able to use. The halo is not very bright with the running lights. the main bulb is a yellow finish, like your stock headlights. One of my LED bulbs was bad. They look badass and give it a mean look, but the look is the only positive I have to say about these lights. Maybe I would have a different opinion about these lights had they come with any helpful information or at least some insight on the fact that I needed to modify my vehicle when it is supposed to fit as a replacement

I only have one complaint
Install wasn't the easiest thing in the world with some cutting needed for the appropriate fit. But its a fault on fords end due the factory header panel used, and the stupid little metal retaining clips used on the top mounting points. Looks good on my 01 excursion, and I get complements all the time. Night time driving vision is way better than the factory headlights. However I do recommend purchasing different high/low beam bulbs. Both of my low beams burned out (within one weekbof each other) after three months of the headlights being installed. That is my only real complaint with the product. Worth the money, and would definitely purchase again/recommend to a future shopper

Great lights, install is major pain.
After install they look and perform awesome..... But! Install is a bitch.... Be prepared to cut and file on your truck to get them to fit, and adjusting them is vert difficult, the adjustment screws are almost impossible to reach, And not labeled. I called for more info on what screw adjusted what and they had no idea, he told me they offered so many styles they had no idea. The instructions are worthless, wad them up and burn them first thing. If your handy and have nerves of steel you can install them in about 4-5 hours. After the first one was in the second one took about an hour.

Not HID. Halos are led. Not bright.
Everything works. No scratches or anything. Easy to install. BAD Halos. Very dull. Only visible at night. Kind of imbarrising as a daytime runner. There is a very visible line in the beam when you see it on the road or a wall at night. Kind of annoying unless you aim them at the sky. They look good when they are off.

Very nice
Took a few hours to install and had to do some cutting as well. A dremel tool does the trick but they look very nice and are bright when all finished and put to use! Happy with them.
