What an awesome rocking chair!
This is, indeed, a beautiful, high quality Eames replica, but at $400 LESS than the originals(?) at Herman Miller. There are no instructions for assembly, but it's a piece of cake to figure it out and takes about 5 minutes to put together. The holes for the bolts on the metal base and the runners didn't match up exactly and I panicked, but nothing a little brute force couldn't fix (as much brute force a petite, 100 lb. person can muster). I figured using force to make them fit wouldn't be possible, since the metal base is very stiff and sturdy, but I just attached one end a bit loosely, then with one good "Ooomph!", got the other end to fit, and voila! Repeat with the other runner and then securely tighten all the bolts. This iconic piece of Mid Century Modern furniture is truly a work of art and so stylish, and I don't know if "cute" and "adorable" are appropriate adjectives to describe this piece, but I can't help but find it awfully cute and adorable and I haven't stopped admiring it, and yet it's totally functional and pretty darned comfortable, to boot.I love this rocker and I'm very happy with this purchase and I'm going to purchase a set of four of the arm-less side chairs from this store and use them as dining chairs.

Great for looks and baby photos.
Perfect little rocking chair. I like this rocking chair to use for photos and just for looks. I wouldn't use it as an everyday rocking chair personally because I need something to rest my neck and head against and I would want something soft to sit in.

The chair arrived early and was easy to assemble
The chair arrived early and was easy to assemble. While it sits comfortably, the dimensions of this chair are much smaller than they appear to be in the picture. Important to compare the height and width with that of the other furnishings in the room it will live in. It can't really hold its own in a living room because of its diminutive stature.
