Great exercise toy for cats
My 8 yr old was getting too lazy and needed some exercise. She loves this - will play with it for 10-15 minutes at a time, which is good for any cat's attention. An "off feature" hold the power for quite a long time to, so need to power it up every day.

Works great, but our cat doesn't care
And that's about the sum of it.5 stars because it isn't fair to penalize the vendor just because our cat is weird. :-) Construction is good, it's easy to use and charge, and it works well, randomly rolling around the room as designed. I'm not at all disappointed in the product in any way, because it does exactly what it says it would.I couldn't begin to tell you why the cat ignores it. She's not at all afraid of it. She's checked it out thoroughly. She just apparently can't be bothered to play with it. We've tried it out with her multiple times and the results are always the same. We'll pass it along to some friends, and let them see if their cats will like it better.

OUT OF THE BOX, ONTO THE FLOOR, OUT OF SIGHT, GONE
The title of this review says it all. I unboxed it, put it on the floor, two cats immediately began following it, I put the packaging in the trash, and when I returned, the ball was gone Gone GONE. It has never been seen since. I guess I purchased it. Everyone in the house has been looking for it, but without results. It worked well when I opened the box, although I expected it to need charging. Arrived okay, ... just disappeared into the kitty twilight zone.Update: We finally found the ball four rooms away from where it began its life here. The power is still good, and the cats are right after it again. I can honestly say I'm glad I bought it.I recommend its purchase and also recommend blocking any possible "cliffs" it may encounter. The cats can herd it if it's on a level surface, but if it falls into a lower area that they can't fit into, it'll be there until discovered.

Pleasantly surprised
The media could not be loaded. I was pleasantly surprised with this toy. I wasn’t expecting much. I bought it because my cat often begs me to play with him, he rarely will play on his own. Sometimes my cat is fascinated with it, and sometimes he’s not interested, but even then, he always keeps an eye out. It also seems to encourage him to play with his other toys. Personally, I like the ball for myself! I turn it on, set it loose, and let it roll. I have a very small apartment, and the ball will roll everywhere, and has no trouble moving from hard floor to rug or carpet. It almost never gets stuck, and if it does, it turns off to save power. The ball’s wobbling motion causes it to wander erratically, which is perfect. I find it entertaining to have it rolling around as I go about my day. It reminds me of a hamster running around in a ball. Speaking of power, I like that it uses a USB charger rather than a battery. The ball lasts a long time after a full charge. It’s never run out of juice.I had hoped to post a video, but none of them really show it off. So the tiny clip I’ve attached will have to do.

Great while it lasted
My cats loved this, but it worked for only a couple of months. My kids rescued a cat from a neighbor's garage a few months ago, and this cat turned out to be pregnant. Our rescue, Princess, had six gorgeous babies. When they were six weeks old, running and stumbling around on their own--I turned this toy on and watch them go crazy chasing it, hugging it, and following it around our home. This ball kept them occupied for hours, then made them exhausted. So, two months later, I charge the ball and find the mechanism that makes it roll independently on the floor doesn't spin anymore. This toy is now dead weight. I expected it to last longer than this--this was so disappointing. Like I said, it was great while it worked, but I guess it wasn't made to be durable. That's too bad. I can't return it because the window for returns has passed--wouldn't it be crazy if it's only made to last past the return window...probably not possible. Folks, don't buy this, it won't work for long.10-8-21NOTE: So, I took the ball apart. It's easy to unscrew the inside and see what was wrong. One of the two wires that's soldered to the mechanism that turns the gear to rotate the ball was disconnected. I don't have a soldering kit so I attached the wire with a drop of gorilla glue to keep the wire contacted to the battery, and the "motor". This ball is flimsily made, I'm sure the wires will disconnect again. Do yourself a favor and get a better, more expensive, better-made ball. There are lots of these...they cost three times as much and won't break down as soon as mine did. You get what you pay for.
