Corelle Country Cottage Service for 4
My husband and I had previously used Corelle dishes for many years. We bought them when were in college and used them for 15 years with only one or two pieces ever breaking within that time. The dishes even survived 3 military moves. The only reason why we stopped using them was because a family member bought us a new set of dishes and we didn’t have room to keep both sets. Our decision to use the new set of dishes was a big mistake that we regretted for years. The other brand of dishes was much heavier than the Corelle and their quality was not even close to Corelle’s. The other brand not only weighed a ton, they chipped and broke easily, were too big for some microwaves and took longer to microwave food on. This year we decided that we could not stand the other brand of dishes anymore and decided to buy a new set of Corelle dishes. We ordered two sets of the Country Cottage service for 4 because we needed enough dishes for 4 people. We received our dishes on December 5, 2013 and immediately placed them in our dishwasher so we could start using them. We were so happy that the dishes fit in our dishwasher without knocking into each other like the other brand did because the plates were so big. We are thrilled with our purchase! There is no comparison. The dishes are much more lightweight and durable. The pattern is pretty with blue flowers around the edges and reminds us of our first set of dishes. We will never make the mistake buying a brand of dishes other than Corelle again!Pros:The dishes are lightweight. They don’t break or chip easily and are backed with a warrantee. They are well worth the price: We got them on a lightning deal special and paid $17.99 for each set but we would gladly pay the $27 dollars that Amazon is currently charging for them.

Corelle is good value
The Corelle brand has been around for a long time, and there's a good reason for that-it's excellent stuff! I purchased three sets of service for 4 (making service for 12) for under $100.00. I had purchased some new china recently but it wasn't microwave safe and it weighed a ton when I emptied the dishwaser and such. I needed more dishes for fewer loads and less weight, I also needed it to be sturdy and if possible pretty too. I got all of that with the Corelle. It goes from fridge to microwave it isn't heavy and it's very pretty too.Delivery was fast and everything arrived unbroken. The mugs are such a pretty color that we decided to match Them for the kitchen paint color! One other thing about Corelle that I love-if someone in the house has a cold you can add bleach to the dishwasher and feel you got it all clean and sanitary too.I just wish this particular pattern had more accessory pieces available-but that's not a big deal really. (Any guest around here who is offended by not having matching serving pieces on the table is welcome to eat at McDonalds where the dishes are all the same color paper.)Very good bargin, very good dishes and very good service. A great deal all the way around.I love Amazon and I always check here first!

Oldie but goodie
While looking to purchase new dishes for my house that has kids. I always remember my grandmother having Corelle dishes and I do remember dropping them and they never seemed to break. With that said I started my research for days I scrolled through amazon and read reviews and looked at patterns and I kept coming back to this pattern and the Corelle brand I ended up ordering it. I am glad that I did I love the color it matched my kitchen (wasn't trying ) and we have now had them for a little over 4 months and we have found out that the durability that was there many many years ago a my grandmas is still there. The little kids have dropped a few plates and nothing has happened no chips no Breaks cleanup is great as well I admit sometimes I am to tired or busy to do dishes right after dinner and have let them sit. When I have went to do them nothing sticks to THEM (still does dishes by hand ) I will buy more of these dishes love that the company has not changed any formula when making these dishes and the fact the company has been around for so long shows my be old but still !!

Surprised and Delighted
We have been using Corning Ware for a while and found that it was just too heavy and took up too much space in the dishwasher. While it was a good set and enjoyable it just did not fit our needs. Wanting a lightweight and easy to move around set we chose the Corelle Livingware and are delighted and surprised. It is light and holds the same amount of food as the heavier Corning. Cleanup goes fast and the dishwasher cleans it well. The size of the pieces sorta mandates your using smaller portions and that ain't all bad. I'm not enamored with the cup, however. Coffee is a mainstay here and it is not unusual to go through 4 full pots each day even with the prices at outrageous levels. Filling a smallish cup such as this one is a tad too much. Of course, on the other hand is the fact that you will have to get up and go to the coffee pot more often and that is good from a calorie burning thing. When dropped the dishes just bounce around and thumb their noses. Overall, I am please with the everyday nature of these pieces and will use them for quite a while.

Not Completely Unbreakable
After a few hiccups unrelated to this product I was finally able to use the dishes. I was pleased by the appearance, nice color and simple design which could be both fancy and ordinary dishes. The bowls are nicely shaped, not that flat style so the kids can fill with cereal without spilling the milk. The one thing that I found to be a bit disappointing was the statement that it was unbreakable, per the commercials they will bounce instead. This is very true as long as it hits the floor a certain way. My daughter dropped her plate and true to the commercials claim it bounced instead of breaking. But when my son decided to test the theory himself with a bowl it did not bounce and shattered into a million pieces...because the bowl hit the floor on the corner of the bowl thus hitting the pressure point to cause the breakage. I think that the manufacturer should state this even if it's fine print so kids everywhere aren't trying what my son did.
