This hub works as advertised.
I just got a laptop for the first time and I wanted to add some storage potential. This hub gives me four USB 3.0 slots to use. I've filled them all up and I can turn them all on, or off, or on one at a time, using the buttons on the hub. They all work perfectly...at least so far. No one can predict the future though...so far, so good. It wasn't pricey either. It is a powered hub to keep from drawing power from my laptop, but it will work without plugging it in to power too. What more can I say? I like the way it looks. The ports light up with a blue led light when they are "turned on" by their individual button(s). If you're looking for a hub, this one does what it says.

A little smelly, but works fine so far!
Received the item, upon opening it looks all like it's in good condition. The cords (both the wall plug in and usb-to-computer connector) are long, which is one reason I bought this product. Besides that it looked nice, it has a pretty strong smell. I just opened it, but if you get up close and sniff it, the cord too, it smells like strong synthetic plastic smells. I can't say the casing seems super-high-quality, but it isn't entirely cheap either. In a note to Tendak, I would be willing to pay a few dollars extra for this product if it didn't have the unpleasant smell and was built more hardily.I followed the instructions and plugged it in, turned on the power for the hub I am using, and plugged in my device. Nothing seems to be awry, and I checked the microphone and it seems to be working as normal. Haven't used with all four plugs yet but as for now, it is a good product for the price. If I don't update, it almost certainly means the product is still working as described, and to my standards!

Great help with external storage for iPhone
So my iPhone ran out of storage space on the cloud and on my phone. I didn’t want another subscription (in this economy?) so I looked for solutions on YouTube. I watched a video that suggested this device along with an Apple lightning to usb and an external storage device. It works perfectly! The whole setup including 2T storage cost me about $130 but I’ll save a bunch over a subscription. I’m pleased with this setup

Powered USB 3.0 hub with a long enough cord and a charging USB port
Not a whole lot to get romantic about over a USB 3.0 hub, but there are a couple very good points to this. First, the USB cord connected to the computer is a good length so you can actually move the hub out of the way (I have a laptop and I keep the hub behind the screen). Second, the power switches to the different ports are a nice-to-have feature. Something you don't need, but something you can appreciate when you have it.If there's one quibble I have, it's that the power cord is about eight inches shorter than I'd like. Not that it doesn't work for me where I have it, but if I had that extra bit of slack, I'd be happier. Oh, and that USB cable from the hub to the computer is pretty thick. Like thicker than Ethernet cable thick. Not a problem, just one of those things you look at and wonder if you're running a washing machine from your USB port.Oh, and that little charging port that is always on is very nice for charging a phone or tablet without looking for an outlet. Love that too.All in all, probably the best USB hub I've owned.

works great. no issues
replaced a plugable USB3 7-port hub which was intermittent out of the box with this one.Have had no issues with this one. Cheaper and much better than the other one.Going with the more expensive and more well known name brand does not always pay. This was a good case in point. Would give this brand another go if I need another hub.Update - 2 years later. Still working great. I don't use the charging port heavily though I do use it occasinally and it works fine for my needs. (charging a fire HD while I use it to keep tabs my dog via web cams in the other room while I work and occasionally for my phone). Got a new desk and was doing some rearranging and mounted this to the front right leg of my desk and wanted another for the left side for occasional use. My main use is for flash drives, external hard drives and pulling files off my phone. Since this one has lasted well I did not look around a lot and just ordered another one of these today. At the price it is cheap in the relam of usb 3.0 hubs. Hopefully it will hold up as well as the fitst.

Worked well until it started to fail
This is a nice little device. I used double-stick tape to secure it to the top of my computer tower that sits by the desk. Very convenient. About 2 weeks ago, the Windows computer started chirping -- you know that sound when you plug or unplug a USB device? I had trouble tracking down what was causing it, until I found a utility to listed USB connect/disconnect by date and time. It is this hub randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. The chirping stopped when I unplugged the hub.Nice while it lasted, but then failed and now needs to be replaced.
