Great book for fellow artists. I've had lots of fun painting little faces in my sketchbook using watercolors (see photo). I'm amazed and pleased how quickly I have become proficient at painting little faces using the step by step guide in the book. The author is a professional artist with excellent teaching skills. Highly recommend.

Great little book on FACES. It's easy, peasy, and so much fun when the "teacher" is really thorough and easy to follow. Amarilys Henderson had given us a hands-on easy way to draw and paint fun little expressive faces. I love the book and the steps as she takes you through them, making it easier to create those little stinkers and divas as you want. I love the variety of expressions you can achieve from all the simple lines and the interpretations you can get from a little practice ... which I need MORE of. FUN FUN FUN!

Just received this today and started on it immediately! What a fun-filled understandable book. I'm so excited to see how I progress in drawing and painting faces. As the author says, not portraits which is totally different, but truly catching character and essences by painting faces. What a great distinction that I think I understand for the first time. Let the adventure begin!

A beautifully done book and very informative though I was expecting something a little more loose and less realism. I considered returning it once I discovered the Jane Davenport books but decided to keep this one and return the version with animals. This artist/author is wonderful and does have a great deal to offer in her online courses as well.

I was hesitant about watercolor before reading this book but now I wanna try it. She really emphasized the importance of quick art and adjusting mistakes. It's helped my art immensely

If you like to create both realistic and "cartoony" faces, this book fills the bill! It shows the basics of how to construct faces (basically) and put the information to work in practical terms. Very nice book! You will like this basic face-drawing book!!

This fun little book is full of practical tips that make drawing faces fun to explore and easy to understand. I felt successful literally within the first 10 minutes, and was excited to see what I am capable of by following the exercises. Highly recommend it!

Book arrived on the day promised and was in good condition. I got this book to have my own copy of a book I'd been repeatedly borrowing from the library.
