Great unit but be aware of Amazon errors.
I was unsure if I was going to give this unit 4 or 5 stars. In the end, I gave it 5 because I can't take out Amazon's erroneous description on the product itself. I installed this unit, a new backup camera, the GPS antenna and the Bluetooth mic in about 2 hours in total. It is very simple to install and fits my car perfectly. I have a 2010 Corolla LE and I purchased the fit kit for it. The stereo looks factory and it has most of the features that I was looking for when I purchased it. There are a few things I will warn you about that are wrong with the description. First off, this unit cannot play music or videos from the Micro SD card despite what it says in the description. That was one of my main wants when looking for units. I simply bought a low profile USB drive to read my songs. This causes the cover of the slot to stick out but it isn't very noticeable. The GPS will also not do TTS. Apparently it used to but doesn't anymore. This isn't a huge issue for me as I don't like the noise to interrupt my music anyway. To anyone else looking to install this unit, the GPS antenna works great in my car right on top of the unit in the dash. It says I have excellent reception. The shuffle feature leaves much to be desired. I tried shuffling through a huge list of songs and it just keeps playing the same few over and over again. Other than that, this unit is amazing and definitely worth the price. My next investment will be speakers as the better sound quality of this unit is giving my stock feature fits.

I am not mad at this purchase..This is definitely a good look.
I bought this radio for my wife's 2005 escape. I was a little nervous as I have heard some of the problems folks have had with this radio. However, I did not want to spend $$ for a radio. The install was easy. I bought the Metra harness, XM add on(See Review) and a rear view camera. They work flawlessly with this receiver. The key here is to update the radio firmware and maps. This would solve a lot of the problems many are facing. I was worried about the fatal error, but I have not encountered it.The radio seems to be well made and does not look cheesy. It is a nice add to a factory set up. The sound is incredible from this radio. It is much better and it kicks when the EQ is set on optimal and the loud feature is activated.I dont have an issue with the screen as some may have had. However, I installed this on a cloudy day and I will see how it works when I get some sunThe rear view camera function is awesome. It responds quickly when you put car in reverse. I bought the ESky170 camera to pair with this radio. It puts out a great picture at night and during the day. I went hard wire as I heard a lot of bad things about the wireless picture being grainy..For a 300 dollar radio, it kicks azz. I am not mad at this purchase.Pros: sound quality, XM radio, Blutooth qualityCons: none at the moment..

Sound quality issues, faulty unit?
I almost gave only 4 stars for 1 reason only, however taking into consideration the bells and whistles of this head unit vs price, they deserve the 5 star review.I wish amazon would not bundle different models into 1 feedback feed,...I purchased the vx7022 (newer model)....when reading threw the reviews, nearly all do not state their model, which makes it hard to be sure advice on software updates, and removing the gps warning for example, are specific to only the older model vx7020.When reading the reviews, I only read good things about the sound quality, I have only had the stereo installed for a day, but when I first turned her on, I was disappointed in the sound I was getting. I have 2 sets of polk audio 6.5" which sounded very nice with a $100 single din pioneer deck...I also sound deadened my doors, so the sound is full and powerful. Not sure if I got a defective hu, or something with the software needs fixing, or what, but my speakers now sound like low wattage paper factory speakers. Maybe my polks are just to power hungry and the other reviewers only have stock low wattage speakers?...the speakers handle any low end very poorly, especially with the loudness setting on.Its not a deal breaker however if you are like me and have an aftermarket amplifier and subs. I just set the eq to only mid and high frequencies and let the subwoofers do the rest...it gets plenty loud.I am waiting on my microsd to finish loading the updates as I type this.....we shall see if there are any improvements.Other than the sound quality surprise in my case....I am still happy. I mounted the mic under my steering wheel and people say I sound good, no problems yet with bluetooth...I just set the gps antenna on top of the deck under the dash....on first boot up..it already knew my location by the time I selected navigation. Now my kids can watch movies on the way to and from magic mountain.... A great deal.A few hiccups which were frustrating during installation....not really the fault of this unit, but may help someone else.Still no hardware included in the new vx7022...however with my factory 2004 toyota tundra mounts and hardware, it fit. I did purchase the spacers that came up by suggestion of other people also purchased...these are to fill up the gap around the stereo...Directions for my tundra showed to make a few cuts to the plastic spacers to fit with my factory mounts...this left only 1 bolt hole...I attached the first 1 perfectly..then went to install the second, and there was no hole on the head unit to mount it....ended up using locktight super glue around the screw hole area. After installation, my aftermarket amplifier would not power on..this hu does not have a remote amp turn on wire....so i had used the blue antenna power wire which was connected to my metra harness and into my factory harness....for some reason it was not enough to trip the amp....the second i swiched to the red acc wire...the amp came on...and everything was working perfect...well except for the sound quality.Update:....I realize now that the audio is just unacceptable, I installed a 4 channel amplifier for my door speakers. My 2 pairs of polk audio db651 sounded very good with my previous $100 pioneer stereo. The amplifier just amplifies the bad signal. The highs sound ok, but with any midbass at all, the sound is muddy and distorted....I thought maybe it is the software, when checking jensen online, I see my installed software is much newer than jensens download. I am waiting for a replacement unit to see if i have a defective one.....which would make since because the reviews mostly show the sound is excellent.Another update: I am updating to 3 stars,....I should not have had such a headache.Yes the first unit was defective, this one sounds much better....not perfect...but for the price,...at least I can now use the loudness setting without the output sounding like distorted garbage. Also this unit can pick up stations while scanning,...the last unit like others stated...would only pick up a few stations while scanning,. but could be manually entered. Also, after buttoning everything up, I stated getting "lost satellite connection",....I was about to flip out....took it all apart again, and noticed the gps antenna was not all the way tight (my fault I guess),...we will see with a few days if I get any lost connection. And also,...I have 2 amplifiers connected to the acc (amp turnon) wire,...I noticed at one time, when changing stations, all of a sudden my sub amplifier was not on,... a few seconds later it came back on.I am crossing my fingers my problems are over,...anything else happens and I will go office space on this stereo!.If no other problems come about,....for the price, I am satisfied, but if I could turn back the time,...I would have just saved up another $300-400 and gotten a pioneer with the same features.
