Tight squeeze on the plates
As expected, this spring tightened up the clutch plates, giving a better grip and a smaller friction zone to the clutch. I ride a 2005 1200 xl custom Sportster with the original clutch cable. I'm finding it tedious to find the perfect settings for my clutch in order to fully disengage the plates when the lever is pulled in. I'm near the tightest settings and I'm still feeling a small pull when the handle is pulled in. This may be due to the new spring itself and may require some breaking in. Overall I'm satisfied with the new performance.

Not great
Worked for 500 miles. Then snapped all the retainers for the snap ring holding the spring in. Now gotta get a new clutch hub/basket ! The pull is very hard as well. Will be going with the 10% se spring next time.

Awesome!
Bought this clutch spring for my 883 sportster. This spring combined with a barnett clutch kit really brings an old bike to life! A quick note--If you have oversized handgrips you will need to change them to get enough pull in the clutch lever to disengage the clutch with this spring. Also keep in mind that this spring is 25% heavier. I am a tinner of 16 years so it is no problem for me but you may want to reconsider if you have weak hands.

Much bettter feeling clutch. Bike has never accelerated so strong.
I'm a big boy who rides my bagger hard and the primo Riviera clutch spring just didn't hold up. My bike has never felt this solid puling from a dead stop. now when I'm loaded 2up and full of gear I can be confident this clutch will hold. The pull at the lever is much tougher than before. If you are buying this and expecting a comfortable pull you will be disappointed. I bought it for performance not comfort and totally satisfied. I don't mind the hard pull.
