If you love perfectly cut french fries this is a must have

This does work, if you're willing to accept some minor limitations. It's the second one I bought-the first lasted about 4 years until the plastic knob and one of the grid sections failed. You need to pre-cut the potatoes fairly small to fit into the cutting area without forcing--if you don't, it will jam. The fries come out fine, though on the short side. But it does take the trauma out of slicing. Easy to keep clean, but keep your fingers away from the cutting grid. Overall, I'm happy.

This product was amazing for the first few months. I was using it 2-3 times per week to cut potatoes into french fries. Cleaning it was very easy since all parts can be easily taken off and cleaned before putting it back together again. After a few months, however, some of the plastic parts would not stay screwed on while I was cutting potatoes making it not as easy to use. Then I started noticing black stuff going into my cut french fries. Whatever that was I was not going to risk eating it accidentally and threw this product away.

Tried this many times and when I got fed up with it and started to look at returning it, 1 day past return window. PIECE OF JUNK. DON’T BUY!!If I could give this a -5 star I would. Complete waste of money and time trying to use it. Don’t waste your money. Dont cut anything longer than 4inches and has to be maybe 3in diameter. You have to put an extreme amount of force behind it to get a potato cut. Small onion or small red potatoes it works okish but for normal potato fries or sweet potato fries, good luck. Don’t buy. It’s again is a waste of money.
