Asus RT-N66U with Sabai OS VPN Client

This is NOT a true open-source tomato router - and is NOT secure. They flash it with their proprietary version that if you reset (and when you set up) the vpn you are completely exposed - for those that don't know a lot about routers you can remain exposed most of your time using the router even if you think it is setup properly.There is no meaningful 7 day support - emails returned within 24 hours... that is not viable support for a security system needed to protect your email to begin with!Furthermore they have put in their own code for setting up the router, requiring if you reset the router and find the VPN off (and YOU must realize it) you must EMAIL them a product id code to get a key to unlock YOUR OWN ROUTER!! Meanwhile to do this one can only presume most users will be exposed as they send and wait for that information (again by email send a code and recieve an unlock code to re-setup security!) this also could quite potentially be used as a back door. In any case - it isn't safe as it is modified and not certified by any authority. And flashing your own router for computer folks takes 5 minutes, including downloading the software... and then you have a TRUE tomato router that IS the original source code without the crazy mods they do that degrade security and make you dependent on them for as long as you run the system. If you ever reset your router (which is generally necessary several times per year - or even per month)? NOT A GOOD PRODUCT. NOT SAFE - It leaves you exposed from the start and can anytime in the future without notice. Don't pay $100+ for something I believe is less trustworthy, secure, or as reliable than what comes w the router or free Tomato.
