I recently learned that I am allergic to shellac and almost all eye liners and shadows and mascaras contain shellac. This brand, Ilia, does not contain shellac, a great find for me! I've used it for a few weeks now and it does not cause swelling or hives. Yay! As for the product itself, it goes on smoothly and evenly, stays on all day, and washes off with water. If I draw a thick line, I notice that sometimes the color transfers to the skin of the upper eye. I think that's happening because of the moist eye cream I have to put on my very sensitive eyelids. I bought the brown color and it's a really lovely shade of brown. I hope they make more colors in the future. I'm a big fan of Ilia products because they're well made and safe.

Definitely not a smoother application, but that’s ok with me because smooth application=smearing/smudging at some point in the day.This wore beautifully all day and no smudging at all!

I have been looking to switch to more clean makeup products but don’t want to sacrifice how the look. Ilia eye liner is great! Goes on smooth, lasts all day, and the best part is that it’s clean!

Love clean makeup but it's not always created the same. This is a great product. Feels good, no smell, goes on easy. The only reason for the 4 stars is it doesn't seem to stay put throughout the day. I don't usually use setting spray for my average everyday so perhaps with that it would stay put and last throughout the day.

Easy to use and looks good

It was disappointing to find out that this item has a poor rating on the Yuka app, due to the use of the moderately risky ingredient polyethylene. This eye liner is promoted as having clean ingredients, so I assumed that meant it had all harmless, nontoxic ingredients, but apparently that is not the case.

Love this eyeliner, I bought it a could of years ago and have loved it since. Soft for the eyes , glides on and stays most of the day.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was excited to try this product, but the color doesn’t stay on and smudges a little. Maybe because it’s an all natural product? Unfortunately, I will have to keep trying other brands.
