Perfect
This is perfect to light the way when one has guests or is going to be in a strange place. This is an update. We have had several winter visitors (We live in Florida.) and everyone of them have asked where they could get this lamp. I put it in the corner of the hallway just outside their bedroom door and it illuminates enough to guide them to the bathroom. I usually order it for them and have it sent as a gift. I wish the fulfillment was a little quicker.

.
Works great for a dark shelf that we use in a closet for feeding the cats away from the dogs.

Molgan for the win! Inexpensive, and endless fun for deer and children alike.
I picked up one of these from an actual Ikea store, thinking that I would hack it into an Arduino project. Then we needed something for a very dark closet. My wife loved it. Back to Ikea to pick up two more (er, I did keep one to hack). The light has 5 warm surface mount LEDs under the translucent cover. The cover also acts as a fresnel lens for the PIR detector. It's not hard to remove, or get back on. :-)I mounted two inside the closet, one at check, one at about knee level. The "color" of the light is wonderful - warm, not stark blue-white. Sensitivity is great for us. They sense motion (a standard PIR circuit) and also have a light-level sensor so they don't come on if the light levels are high.I mounted the holder on the wall with double-backed tape. The light fits onto the holder/mount with about a 45 degree twist. To change the batteries, you twist to the left and the light comes right off.I use rechargeable AAA batteries - three for each light. I have 12 on hand, so I have 6 charged and ready for a quick switch. Our batteries last weeks, but this is because it's intermittent use. Granted, it's a couple of times a day, but it's not like sitting in front of the 'fridge with the door open. The light cycles once and goes out until next time. The batteries I have a NiMH, 800 mAH - I picked up a couple packs at Ikea, because they were there and inexpensive. My likes: Good color, easy to mount, easy to remove, good sensitivity. Note: At Ikea, the price is 1/2 of the online price. Not everybody is near an Ikea... I happen to pass by once a month, so... why not?My DISlikes:1) Battery access. The battery compartment has a plastic "lid" - which is fine, but it's held in place by a teeny-tiny screw. Which means, each time I change batteries, I have to retrieve my teeny-tiny Phillips-head screw-driver. Note: You COULD probably leave the compartment open and probably be fine. I'm just irritated by this design "feature".2) WHY on earth would they use AAA batteries? The case is large enough for AA batteries, and inexpensive AA NiMH batteries hold 2.5 to 3 times as much power. I'm just sayin', yo.Ideas:If I could refit them for AA NiMHs, I think these would be great on the lawn in the back yard... They just look neat.If I had more time and less common sense, I would pick up some extra, and remove 3 of the 5 LEDs and see if I could creatively get a "spooky eyes" effect. Due to the purpose of the cover, this would probably not work the way I imagine. If I REALLY had more time and much less common sense, I'd use this as the basis for a garden-invasion unit... remove 3 LEDs, tint the remaining two red, put a small MP3 board inside, and if deer get near the garden, have it growl and light up red predator eyes. If nothing else, the deer would be laughing so much, they'd not have time to eat the garden.

Nope, not a good product.
Bought this. Put batteries in correctly. Could not get it to work at all. Returned it.
