Replacement LCD Power Inverter Board For HP Compaq CQ60 G50 G60 CQ50 CQ70 Series Backlight

I was doing a free repair on a laptop for this kind soul that's has dedicated his life to doing Gods work. The laptops screen was cracking right off of the hinges and had separated completely on the right hand side. I was installing Linux Mint 14 as well... while the screen was disassembled. Moving the screen around, I'm not sure, but, I must have touched the metal frame of the LCD to the inverter and fried it. The LCD went dark and never came back on. I was freaking out. I thought I just turned the laptop into an expensive paperweight. Talk about feeling terrible. I figured what the heck, three dollars only for an inverter and four more for shipping. All I can say is "phew, there is a God". And thanks, because that is all it was. With a little metal reinforcement and a lot of epoxy, the laptop works great! I even threw in 1 gig of memory to speed things up a little. BTW Linux Mint is a great operating system. If you're tired of wasting money on Microsoft, give it a whirl.

Worked like a charm after watching a few online videos and knowing i had the right tools it was not bad . This was a laptop that was three years old so i lucked out it was not the bulb which looks more difficult to do . Make sure you have several Dixie cups to label where the screws came from as they may look about the same length but they are designed only to fit where you took them from .. VERY IMPORTANT . especially the three that hold the keyboard down . But no problems ordering and delivery was a snap .

This product worked great when installed but unfortunately i think there is something else broken because my screen went out again.

Purchased this inverter to replace the original which died after heavy Slingbox use for 2-years. I had standard delivery, and it arrived on the last day of the delivery time-frame, approx. 5-days after purchase order submitted. The product works great, just disappointed in the "last-day delivery ".

when the technician installed it on the computer it burned the computer. so it did not work. know i am without a computer. thank you.

Only worked for 3 days. Looks like I will have to buy another one.

This power inverter was the answer for my monitor problem. I noticed it was this because of the way the screen was functioning. I was able to notice the mouse (barely visible at all) and saw that the screen itself wasn't damaged. Since then I searched for the inverter. I found this one, and at a pretty cheap price, I was able to test out if this was the problem. After getting it, I was relieved this was the problem. It saved me a whole lot of money, thinking that I was going to get a new screen instead.

Works just fine. Got my screen on laptop working again. Minimal fuss, and easily installed. As long as you have a little skill and aren't afraid of tearing into your computer. Better than spending 4-500 dollars on a new machine.
