A Great Device
I purchased this Nighthawk AX-6 (RAX50) to replace an older Nighthawk X4 (D7800) modem/router and Wow!... what a step up. (Must say at this point that I only looked at Netgear products for replacement and, No, this is not a paid review.)The first thing I noticed is what an improvement the user interface is over the older; nice and fresh but without the pain of finding my way through a new interface. Easy to set up even though I have 30+ devices attached (Smart home IOT mostly).WiFi 6 is a big improvement and my main PC connects wirelessly at 2.4 Gbps limited I guess by my adaptor (this beats 1Gbps wired by some margin). Netgear Armor is a nice feature and offers peace of mind for internet safety even though I am use Bitdefender.Perhaps the biggest improvement over my previous device is the Netgear Nighthawk app for my android devices which gives me easy access to the router without having to be attached, easy settings changes and as much information that I need to manage and monitor.Overall this is a very nice device; aesthetically pleasing, easy to set up and with great performance.A 5 star device and highly recommended.

Best router I had
This was my fix for virgin media dropping signal and reset it every day. I have done a setup to the hub 3 to be a modem only and since then I had absolutely no issues with the internet connection. Connected this router and the signal covers all my house. Over the brick walls the speed drops but I’m happy with this as I wanted a stable wifi. Also manages great with all my wifi devices (12 devices). Very stable. Very happy. I ignored the update of router software as it’s working out of the box as I wanted and I don’t want to cause any issues. My wifi priter is not the smartest one, after every hub3 reset I had to manually connect it again. This is no longer happening with this router. I recommend this personally to all virgin media users.

Great router..unless you need talktalk tv
So l bought this to rule out internet issues with a talktalk hub which l was 99% certain wasn't the cause (eventually talk talk replaced it anyway however even though l replicated the issues with this nighthawk...anyhow this isn't the point) The Rax50 really works well sets itself up pretty much without you having to do anything, even configures itself as a router or access point on subnets..very impressive. The only thing l couldn't make it do was authenticate for talktalktv add-on packages, like sky TV boosts. Unfortunately this means it isn't as described and fully compatible with talktalk or probably any of the other isps with TV services that require separate authenticated logins. As a router or access point though it really is good WiFi seems strong on 2.4 and 5, user interface is very intuitive and much more comprehensive than your average ISP provided interwebs box.

If you have super hub 3 you need this
Constantly had Wi-Fi drop outs on super hub 3 and had engineer come out multiple times to check connections and provide a new super hub. Nothing worked and every so often id get Wi-Fi drop outs.Since getting this router I get 450mbps+ around the whole house and have had no Wi-Fi drop outs in 3 weeks. Easy to set up though the app, literally took 10mins. Would definitely recommend if you get Wi-Fi drop outs.

Just Great
Installed easy and with Armour installed it has been keeping my system safe. My NUC has been running quickly and smoothly. The smartphone app is a pleasure to use.Tech Support was not rated as I did not have to use them.

Don't buy one - one star for the usual reason: No stars isn't an option
As a long time Netgear user - and something of a fan - the arrival of this device was eagerly anticipated. I should have contained my excitement; when Netgear make a dog, it's a mangy, rancorous, flea-ridden thing and this was one such. The experience went downhill as soon as the box was opened - recommended installation method - phone app. It nose-dived with the required creation of a totally unnecessary [That's what you think, Ed.] Netgear Account, and hit rock bottom at line 3 of the instructions - "Scan the QR code on the router" - there wasn't one. After a manual login to the app I was prompted, no, required, to search for firmware updates which would take a "few minutes". I don't know what Netgear's definition of a "few" is, but many, many minutes after mine, I declared the process stalled and rebooted everything to restart the process.Needless to say, the app now couldn't find the router. Did I want to go to "routerlogin.net" (password not recognised, reset?) and use my account credentials? No, I didn't, but I didn't have any choice. Having succeeded in logging in, it recommended I retry the app. It failed. Again. On a second visit to the website I discovered a GUI and obtained totally unauthorised remote administrative access via the site. It did, however, permit a manual setup. After a couple of minutes setup was completed and the router started routing and streaming like a good 'un.This happy state of affairs lasted about 5 hours. Then the 5GHz channel just stopped broadcasting.Several unsuccessful reboots later, it turns out that the back streets and alleys of the internet are strewn with the broken souls of those who have suffered the same fate only to be met with "well it was working when it left us" from Netgear support. It has been returned in under 24 hours.Avoid it like the plague.

Range isnt great - speeds ok but drop with range/distance
Wanted to drop using my mesh setup so got the this one (Netgear Nighthawk RAX50).Setup is a bit of a pain - easy in that its on an app but it constantly pushes you to go for the paid extra features "Oooh have you coughed up some more cash please?".Speeds around the house (average sized house with internal walls like paper) was ok. It reached the extremes but with the signal dropping a bit at each end. I'd say by going by speed tests it was about 10-15% lower than my mesh network.Overall its fine if you get it on offer and you need a Wifi 6 router....

A very usable great value product
I bought this router as an add on to my very poor Virgin Hub 3. It took around 10-15 minutes to fully set up. It's a huge improvement over the hub 3's WIFI signal. I can definitely recommend it for a home user looking for better WIFI.

RAX50 : Excellent , affordable WiFi 6
So we upgraded from an ASUS RT - AC 68U to this router and saw some immediate benefits .The range has increased quite a bit in our 1500 Sq ft apartment . This goes for both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands .The devices which have wifi ax adapters benefit the most e.g. the wife's IPhone and our newer laptops which have wifi ax adapters. We see close to 300 Mbps speeds on the devices in 2 different rooms across the apartment ar distances of 20 feet and 30 feet respectively. It also acts as a great bridge between the desktop which has an AC1200 adapter and the TV which is across the apartment. It is easy to stream 4k content with no stutter/ buffering from the pc to the tv , whereas previously it would get stuck / hang .We have tested speeds on upto 6 devices simultaneously, with all devices registering close to 280 Mbps, across different distances. The best part is, it was easy to setup using the night hawk app and suffers no issues in the firmware.Overall, a great buy and wonderful value for money at the current price point from Amazon India. Highly recommended.

Consigliato
