Excellent bacon for a fair price
12-11 2015 3:12 PMI received a professionally packaged, sealed and refrigerated 11.8 pound package of bacon that was nicely boxed in a styrofoam cooler in a cardboard box. Quality (meat to fat ratio) would rate 8 to 9 on a scale of 1 thru 10. I cut and vacuum packed it into 12 squares. This is dry cure bacon and is not pumped full of curing liquid like supermarketsliced junk, so vacuum packing in easy. In the next few days we will cook some up and report back with part 2 of this review. Thanks for your time……Paul12-11-2015 3:51PMOK…I couldn’t wait for tomorrow. Just cut off a couple of slices a started them in a cold fry pan and slow cooked until crisp. There was only a 9% shrinkage rate (beats store bought by a country mile) and not much fat rendered out. The flavor was very good. Not as good as my own home made hickory smoke, honey-maple bacon but 10 to 13 days is a lot of time and work saved. The last time I had a supermarket brand of bacon, I asked my wife why she cut the slices in half. Her answer: I didn’t cut them, they shrank.Bottom Line: This is excellent bacon that is way better than store bought for just a little more money. And NO…I don’t work for Burgers' Smokehouse. They are in Missouri and I live in California. Thanks for your time…..Paul

Real deal!
Dry smoked, actual country bacon that is a value. If you don’t have a slicer, you’re better off with buying their sliced bacon. I’m a former meat cutter so I had no problem slicing by handIt’s a LOT of product and is delicious

I had never ordered pork bellies before. I received what I ordered and it is an excellent product. I thought I could finally have thick bacon on my burgers but the grilled bacon was not a tender product. We put it in the pressure cooker and it was very tender but it changed the consistency of the product; it is like eating fat with a little meat in between. I like it but it didn't like me. There is a reason packaged bacon is sliced so thin, If it is thick, it is not tender. Five stars for the product, packager and delivery. But, three stars or less of pork bellies as as an edible product.

Great Flavor!
Bacon is pricey in general these days, but by comparison, this was a decent value. The flavor is quite good. I cut the fatty ends off in small chunks and froze them for seasoning and cut the slab into 6 pieces to freeze.

Best bacon ever!
I'm 60+ years old. This is the best bacon I've ever had. Perfect Hickory smoke flavor, not to salty. And you get to slice it just the way you like it. With no water added you don't end up with a skillet full of water boiling your bacon. The price per pound is also better than the Grocery store crap. Awesome job Burger's don't change a thing!

Doesn’t taste like bacon.
I liked the fact that it was true slab bacon. Two each 12 1/2 pound slabs. Came vacuum packed & a little wet. No problem with that - unwrapped it & put on raised racks in the fridge for 5 days. Taste? WHAT taste. Maybe a hint of smoke & salt. That’s it. I’m soliciting opinions with family and friends without giving my 2¢ and it’s always the same. No flavor - no smoke. Doesn’t even taste like side meat.Big disappointment. I’ve made dry cured bacon before, bought some from the old Benton Bacon in TN too, and it’s awesome. This is just blah.
