All the bad reviews have to do with people not realizing you ...
First off, the product works flawlessly. All the bad reviews have to do with people not realizing you have to have fresh batteries. I'm not a gamer but I realize wireless anything (like gaming controllers for example) won't work if the juice is low. To me it's kind of obvious, without taking a dig at frustrated customers who this didn't occur to.That said, the keyboard is quiet and very soft touch. Has a very nice feel to it. The layout is its own thing and takes a few days to fully acclimate to.That being said, the mouse is really important to turn off if you're not using it.Also, the wireless USB transmitter is located inside the mouse when you buy new. It took me a minute to find it. It's the same color as the plastic the mouse is made of so it was hard to spot at first. My best suggestion would be to invest in some rechargeable batteries. You need four AAA total.I've seen a lot of reviews where people bashed on it because they simply didn't take time to think the problem through and commit to determining what the real issues might be beyond perceptive intelligence (or the lack thereof).A lot of bang for the buck. Well worth the $20 odd dollars you spend to not be tethered with wires.

hooked up easy
I am very glad I didn't believe all the reviews of this keyboard and mouse . I am not the best typist nor do I use the computer as much as other people, but after my son destroyed the mouse and key board that originally came with my hp computer, playing his games, I bought this one as a replacement, as far as the battery life I don't know, but it hooked up and works perfect with my hp computer. That's why I made sure to buy this one because the computer I have is hp and I had no problems with compatibility the mouse works just as good as the old one did when it was working, so for the price I have to say I am very happy. But as I had mentioned earlier I do not know that much about computers all I know is that it works just as they said it would and I am happy.

Needed replacement within 2 days.
Received my replacement in 2 or 3 days after requesting it. The initial unit seemed to operate fine for the first 2 days but on day 3 neither the wireless mouse nor K-board would function properly. I swapped everything all around trying to determine which component was faulty but could not make them work. Had to reinstall my old wired mouse and wireless key board to use computer. If this unit continues to work like it is right now, all is well!

Perfect wireless combo
I've been using the keyboard and mouse combo for work for a few months now - my only regret is that I didn't buy this sooner. Wireless is the way to go - no restrictive cords! Have not had ANY issues at all. Just replaced batteries on mouse this week. Keyboard still working on original batteries. Overall, very pleased with purchase.

Keyboard clunky
I ordered this product to replace a previous HP keyboard and mouse, but the one I had was a thin design with nice feeling keys and a larger mouse and all had a nice rubber coating and "feel." The mouse in this kit is smaller and slick plastic. It would work okay, but does not feel as nice in your hand as the previous one. The keyboard is the real problem. It is clunky and hard plastic. The thin keyboard required only a touch to the key to type. This one requires moving the key down about 1/4" (or it at least feels that way) to make the contact required for the letter to be represented on the screen and it is noisy when pressing the keys that hard. As I type this, I realize I am typing this on an Apple iMac keyboard and it is the same as the original HP keyboard, very nice, very precise, and not noisy or clunky. This keyboard / mouse product worked as advertised, but I felt the refinement of the original keyboard was much better and it had lasted many years without issue. I sent this one back and will replace it with one more like the one I had, albeit at a higher price. Maybe I got what I paid for as this one was definitely cheaper than what I see I will pay for a "like" replacement. Amazon was quick to send and easy to return as always.

wireless keyboard and mouse
I received this today and I am using it to type this, I am a hunt and peck computer operator so I don't watch the screen while I'm typing, I am very happy with this keyboard and mouse so far and rushed over here to tell everybody how happy I am. The keyboard is very light which is great for me since I keep it on a table next to me and only bring it to my lap when I need it, the mouse is small and works great and the dongle it tiny. I bought two of them, one for the desktop and one for the laptop which I use to boor my wife with stuff I find fascinating by connecting to the TV with an HDMI cable. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews first, I might not have bought it even though the price was so low, a great value for me so far.
